Pricey, but worth it
So in Canada, it's priced at Sephora for $94, which is crazy expensive. I normally would never be able to justify it but I'm on my last couple of drops and I've had the bottle for more than a year. I do keep it refrigerated which helps the lifespan of the product, but it also feels so nice and refreshing before bed or getting ready in the morning. I've noticed visible results, such as fading of any current acne scars, or a reduction in the amount of pimples I get. This is definitely on my repurchase list.
Keeping in my skincare routine
I LOVE this oil! I have combo/oily skin that gets dry patches occasionally. A friend turned me on to this saying it would balance everything out. It sure did! I use about 6 drops every morning and night. My skin looks glowy without being greasy. Makeup lays perfectly on top of it (after about 15 minutes of it soaking in).
Holy grail facial oil!
I’ve got mild rosacea, but also oily, flaky, congested, acne prone skin, it’s pretty bad. I was immediately put off by the smell of this oil, but I’m also trying to get away from synthetic fragrance oils due to allergies, so I’m cool with it (it fades pretty quick). It’s like a weird herbal, medicinal smell, but whatever. I apply this before bed every night, only a few drops needed. $100 for a bottle of facial oil may seem like a lot, but when you’re using 3 drops for your entire face, the bottle will last forever! In the morning, my skin is hydrated, plumped up and healthy looking. I’ve been using it in conjunction with the blue tansy mask and my skin has never looked better! The flakiness is gone, the oiliness is very much under control now. Any zits I had are completely gone and I haven’t gotten any new ones. Please never discontinue this oil!
Not worth the price
I have a strange skin type in that I am oily and acne-prone yet dehydrated. Due to this, I thought the Lapis oil might be the perfect solution for me. I did find this hydrating to use overnight but I did not notice it helping clarify my skin or reduce breakouts. This oil is offensively expensive for what it is. Squalane, jojoba and coconut oil for $90? No way! The coveted blue tansy is so low on the list of ingredients that I doubt it is even helpful in any way. Overall, this was a nice oil to use but there are way better options out there at way better price points (plain old jojoba oil being one of them). Will not repurchase this oil.
This oil is wonderful! It's more on the dry oil side and if you know a thing or two about skincare, looking at the ingredients list you will understand why it's so great. I chose this oil because I really wanted to incorporate blue tansy (the ingredient) into my routine and SUNDAY RILEY Luna Sleeping Night Oil is 1) Super expensive and 2) has chemical dye in it that is banned in the EU as causing cancer, so that was a big no no for me. The bottle is HUGE and will certainly last a long time. I have been using it daily, sometimes twice daily, for about a week now, and while it's still too early to say if it's working, I have noticed clearing in my spots and just general suppleness. I will be continuing with this product and updating my review in a month or so.
