It is very affordable. I got mine for around 30 bucks in Downtown La but they're usually sold for around $90-$100 so you just have to look in the right places especially Amazon They straighten hair VERY well. The best I have tried so far. The only con I have is for me it damages my hair easily. So if you don't have delicate hair like I do then I recommend it. (:
