don't know what the big deal is

I bought one of these on sale over Christmas, everyone in my office has one and rave about it.
I've had it on at my desk for almost 2 weeks now, the light isn't bright so can't use if for that, looks ok appearance wise, but have noticed absolutely nothing different regarding myself or the atmosphere around me.
I'm thinking a big hoax that wastes your money. will be returning mine this weekend.
