100% OF CHICKS DIG IT
Because I don't have a/c in my south facing apartment, i rely on fans in the summer to move air. In the end if it's really hot I just want air to move over my skin. I had a turbo fan and liked it, but after 3 summers of being on for about 4 months it died. I decided to purchase the Honeywell mostly because it was half the price, when on sale. The fan is bulky, it's sold as 18" but really is closer to 2 feet in width. But it does seem to move air. I was able to push a lot of the evening air in to cool my apartment using the lowest setting. It's not 'quiet' but you're moving air, so you put up with some noise. I've only had it a few days, and I generally find that fans seem to work for about 2 to 3 seasons of being used 3 to 4 months at a go, and considering that cat hair gets in there, so if this lasts me through a few summers i'll be satisfied.
