Great fun coverage tint
This “tint” is fantastic if you’re looking for something that gives a full coverage flawless look without dryness. It provides almost a dewyness but stays on all day. A little goes a long way and even though it’s thicker than what you’d expect a tint to be, it spreads nicely over moisturized skin. I find the colours blend well into many skin types without looking orange. If you have blemish prime skin you’ll appreciate the coverage it gives without drying you out. I use to use Bosica BB cream but now that I’ve found this and was looking for some extra coverage, I will not go back.
That product is really amazing! it gives your skin a smooth and flawless effet, with a touch of light. I wasn't sure because the price is a bit too high, but I tried it, and now I'm addict! I'm 30, so I started to have wrinkles and I have a mixed skin, so everything is too greasy or too dry on my face, but this fits just perfectly. You have to know though, that in summer it can be a little too shiny on your T zone, so I suggest to add a finishing powder, or not use it when its too hot outside. Also, its pricey, but if you like quality products that works for real, at least try it and give it a shot!
This foundation claims to, "reduces the appearance of fine lines and hydrates to leave skin glowing," however this was just not my experience at all with this product. It is thick and quite difficult to blend and therefore you have to really use a lot of product to have enough for the whole face. On top of it, it really did not look flattering on the skin, but rather cakey, excentuating all my flaws!
This foundation just did nothing for me, and for 68$ canadian, that is an expensive price to pay for no results!!
I received a sample of this in the lightest shade available. It was still too dark, and gave my skin a slightly yellow tint (I have pink-neutral undertones). It smells really badly of sunscreen, even though it contains no SPF. The formula is super thick and hard to blend unless you use your fingers to spread it around before going in with a brush. It also had a tendency to make the patch of skin between my brows look dry, even though this is a hydrating formula. This is almost $70, so even if I enjoyed it more than I did, there's no way I would ever buy a full size version.
I absolutely love this foundation. It's advertised as a tinted moisturizer but I'd definitely consider it a foundation. It looks and FEELS like skin! It offers medium coverage but it can be built up to medium-full. The only thing I don't love is the price point. $55 OUCH! But I'd say it's worth it. I've tried multiple high end foundations and multiple drug store ones as well and this is the best I've ever found. 10/10 recommend.
I had given up trying to make foundation look good on my dry, extra-sensitive skin until I got a sample of this product; it was love at first sight! It's thicker than I expected - definitely more of a foundation than a "tint" - and it doesn't dry me out, make me itch or peel, cling to dry patches or emphasize lines. My skin has literally never looked better. You can get within centimeters of the mirror and not tell you're wearing make-up. The colour Ivory is a perfect match for my fair skin tone too. I wish it was more affordable, but the look it produces is so worth it!
I love this tinted moisturizer by Hourglass. It's full coverage tint evened out my skin and the bit of pigmentation on my cheeks! This product gave my skin an illuminated glow with major moisture. I purchased it in the shade sand, which bang on suited my light-medium skin tone. This product lasted all day on my skin with minimal touching up. It's a bit pricey, but a little goes along way. Use it with a foundation brush or a beauty blender sponge for superb coverage. A total must-have in my beauty bag!
Honestly, I have a lot of love for Hourglass products. They are exceptionally well made, with quality ingredients.
My daily routine on the weekdays is a simple 4 steps: 1) use Hourglass Veil Primer as a base 2) this foundation on top in 'Sand' 3) fill in brows 4) a little blush & powder to set my face.
I would better describe this product as a tinted moisturizer because of its consistency and hydrating qualities. Always a plus, this product is formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates and has UVA/UVB SPF 15 protection.
But really, all you need to know is that this product is amazing. It gives you that 'not wearing make up but my face is naturally this perfect' look. It has a dewy finish, but if you're skin is more oily, you can simply set it with a powder to mattify it.
I did not know this until I did some more research, but this product is also anti aging. You can read more about it in the link I provided below :)
A little steep at $64 CAD (especially when using every day, like I do), this product is one that makes it painful to hand your card over to the clerk, but it's just so good that you can't skimp on it!
