After eating Daim chocolate bars for a number of years and then being offered this instead, I am pretty sure that this is not the quality equivalent of the former. It might have been okay when it had used a manufacturer in Germany to produce it, but it had switched suppliers over the past couple of years and decided on one from Spain. The crispy butterscotch pieces were fine, but the milk chocolate had noticeably deteriorated. Too much milk. Not as much chocolate flavour as before.
As a cheap chocolate fix, this will still be fine - but I am happy to see that Ikea has recently reintroduced Daim to the Canadian market again, so I won't have to resign myself to this.
