Disappointed

I decided to throw this in last minute while shopping online at Toys R Us. I wish I had gone in store to look at this. For 10$ this toy would have been a decent purchase had it worked properly. I changed the batteries thinking it was running low on juice however, the sound is naturally extremely low. There is no button to increase it. You can barely hear anything even in a quiet room. You literally have to raise it to your ear to hear it. Even my 2 year old daughter was telling me it was broken. No damage sustained during shipping so I have no idea if ALL the units sound like this or if it is a defect that I just happened to receive.
