Indigenous Women, Work, and History 1940-1980 .. i had privilege to read this book .i thought it was awesome and couldnt stop when i started reading it .
This book by Mary Jane Logan McCallum provides a voice to Indigenous women, a voice often overlooked in the history of Canada. What makes her work phenominal is that she uses oral histories, archives, photographs, case studies, and a collection of other primary sources to craft the history of a group once overlooked. She writes from an unapologetic feminist viewpoint, which is a viewpoint that many historians cannot seem to reconcile with when looking at ethnic minorities. Her writing is easy to read and understand, without diminishing the importance of what she's writing. In my opinion, this work is one of a kind and extremely valuable to the history of Canada.
