When I was a kid, my mother had this little holographic strip thermometer, so I still feel like these 'no-touch' thermometers are very cool and modern. But, of course, the number one benefit of this is that you don't have to touch the thermometer against the sick person. This helps keep it more hygenic and also keep from disturbing the person, which is very important if it's a sick child!

I like that this one has an in-ear option as well. It's quick, accurate and extremely easy to use. The screen lights up once your reading is ready and this makes it super clear to see the reading. I also like that a smiley face icon comes up to show me the temperature is 'good'. It can show measurements in both Farenheit and Celcius too.

This may not be the best for people with visual difficulties as it does not make any sound or read out the temperature, but for those who are able bodied this will work just fine! It's a simple sweep over the forehead for the non-ear measurement and comes with a little bag to keep it safe in.
