Extra step needed to hydrate and even out my skin
I was perusing Korean skincare, looking for an essence or serum to add to my regimen for increased moisture and anti-aging benefits without causing me to breakout. Because I still breakout in my 30s, the sales associate recommended the innisfree soybean energy essence as a lighter option that would be less likely to clog my pores. My skin has been dehydrated in the winter, and is beginning to sag and wrinkle a bit. I can’t use heavier creams on my sensitive acne-prone skin, so layering a thinner product under my moisturizer has been really helpful. My skin has been brighter, smoother, and more hydrated since I started using this product, and I’ve replaced the bottle twice. I can’t imagine not using it now; it’s a necessity for my skincare! It hydrates, plumps, and brightens without causing congestion, so the skin on my face feels somewhat lighter (less like it’s pulling down) and it has actually reduced the number of breakouts I have, I guess because my skin is more balanced? Bonus, it really helps make up go on more smoothly since it prevents flaking and lines caused by dehydration. It ends up costing about $45 a bottle, which might be out of some people’s price range for a step to go under your moisturizer, but I believe it’s my most important addition to my skin care in years!
