This is a glorified pressure cooker. It’s great for people who make their own yogurt I guess, or need a slow cooker. I still prefer my good old pressure cooker to this one. I am still looking for what it does better than a pressure cooker, other than offering the digital preset cook time. So I guess that’s the only advantage you could set it for 20 minutes and go off and have a shower. But you need to get the water level exact to a T, and it takes a lot of trial and error to NOT get the “burn signal“. Customer service is average, when I reached out to them about this. It’s humongous and it’s great if you’re cooking for a large group. But I just avoid using it for three people, where my simple handy dandy pressure cooker serves me well.

Honestly my best recent purchase. I cook a lot and the instantpot cuts my cook time in half so I get to spend more time doing anything else. It's never been easier to make a meal consisting of 2 or 3 dishes!
