You don't feel a thing unlike with tampons. Protection is great. Safer than tampons too. Can be a bit messy with removal but you figure it out really quick.
Would recommend this for sure
Great product easy to use safer than tampons plus they last longer very comfortable the only downside is they can be hard to find a lot of stores do not carry them
I could never use tampons in the past. It never felt like it was in the right place and I would always get cramping in my lower abdomen. So for years, pads were my only option. Until now. I found the Softcup at Safeway and I was excited to try it out. It was fantastic!! Insertion was smooth and easy and I couldn't feel it at all. As some other ladies mentioned, you can have sex on it with no mess, and they were right! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this product! I am pad free and loving it!
I wasn't to sure about these when I bought them. I had been really wanting to try a cup out, so I got these first. They looked huge when I first tried. It was a very easy insertion if you are comfortable with your body and don't mind putting your fingers in places. Sorry but true. They do need to be positioned right not to leak. I had no problems with first time use. No leaks very comfortable and you can forget about the pretty much all day. I have never come to over flowing. The only thing is removal is a little mess. If you prefer you can do in the shower or put a disposable glove on so the blood doesn't get on your hand. It does all wash off no need to be grossed out. I will never use tampons again. There's no risk of tss with cups and it's such a hassle free way to deal with a period! I will be finding a reusable very soon.
I am absolutely in love!!! I am never using tampons or pads ever again.
I waited until I had a low flow day as recommended and had no problem what so ever with insertion or removal. I found it so comfortable to wear, I almost forgot it was there. I love that you can do anything you want while using this product!!
Try it! You won't be sorry.
I was very nervous about trying these but I will never go back to tampons! They last much longer, I dont have the cramps I thought were just a regular girl problem and best of all there is no risk of TSS!
These are the best things in the world.
Not only are they convenient to use, but they're reusable (despite the company advertising them as disposable). I usually get 6-9 cylces out of each cup before I start worrying that it's going to break. At that rate, the box of 24 that I bought over three years ago should last me well into menopause.
I totally LOVE MY Softcups! (new name) I first used Instead about 13 years ago. For a little while I was unable to find them...then they came back on the market as Softcups. And all I can say is I'm so happy that I've been reunited. I own a Diva Cup but you cannot have intercourse with it in due to the way it is shaped.. However what I love most about Softcups besides the ability to wear for 12 hours and the ability to sleep with them, what I love most is messless sex! Yes ladies you can engage in sexual activities with the Softcup as long as it is properly placed. What's more is your mate may not even know that you're on your TOTM! (period). Such a wonderful product.
I HIGHLY recommend it. And if you tried it once and didn't work for you...try again while wearing a pad until learn how to properly place the Softcup. When wearing Softcup I do not worry about leaks and I certainly am not concerned about Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) as is the case when wearing tampons.
The removal of the cup can be messy...but since you can wear it for 12 hours then you can remove it in the comfort of home or in the shower. Best way to insert them would be while sitting on the toilet. Even though they are made to be disposable, I have cleaned a cup and used it for 2 12 hour periods and was fine.
Highly recommend.

I've been using this product now for about ten yrs. and I don't know what I ever did without it! I highly recommend it as there's no left over ummm fibres from tampons and once you figure it out (remember you had to figure out tampons when you first tried them) you'll never ever ever want to go back to tampons. Just read their instructions. Can wear them at least twice as long and as long as 12 hours. They don't have latex like the Diva cup so those of us with latex allergies can use it and be happy. I've found that tampons were causing a lot of yeast infections, they were leaking and were just plain uncomfortable and after my periods there was dryness. I'll never go back. Ever. They say not to reuse but I have I wash well when I change the cup (soap and water and if you want rubbing alcohol) and they last me my entire period. Just make sure you're by a sink. They are very cost effective, about $4.99 for 6, which lasts me 6 mos. and if the zombie apocalypse should hit...LOL you have something you can sterilize and re-use. Though it isn't recommended I do. As you can reuse the diva cup, so can you reuse this product. I use a fresh one every period, but seriously there's no reason you can't clean thoroughly for you entire period and be just fine. I know others who have done this and had no ill effects. The only problem is you might find at the end of your period or the first day it's hard to get in position so use vaseline or something to smooth the way. Also, you may forget it, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I love this product. A whole lot. FYI, the name has now changed to Softcup and is in a pink box. I buy at Shoppers Drug Mart as that's the only place I've seen them. Though I did recently see a package of 14 or so at Safeway for I believe $14. Something like that. Awesome product!
So, I am always the first to try new things when it comes to simplifying my lifestyle. I saw the Instead Cup in Walmart for a little under $7 and there were 14 in the box. I was already excited just because of the price. I anxiously awaited the arrival of my next period. I use the Nuva Ring so insertion and placement was no different. The ring around the Instead cup is slightly larger and more sturdy than the Nuva Ring as it should be. It was completely comfortable, didn't even know it was there. I must say it stays in place and locked in all day but, when I use the bathroom there is a little leaking, but it goes right into the toilet. This for me is a benefit because its like a fresh start. HAHA. A little repositioning after I use the bathroom to make sure its where it should be and a thorough hand washing and I'm on my way. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for freedom from their periods without the hassle of carrying tampons around and worrying about that "feeling" of its time to change.
