Do not waste your money

I used airmiles to obtain this product. I thought it would be a really cool gadget. I was wrong. My irobot (names Alice) moves more dirt around than she actually picks up. If you have any carpeting don't expect this product to effectively clean...particularily if you have pets. She will form fur balls and randomly drop them throughout the room.

We LOVE this item. It took me a while to buy one due to price and not being sure of its worth. Buy let me tell you it is worth it. I have small children who make quiet a mess around here. With the click of a button and a warm mug of tea I can sit back while the housework is being completed!

Would you trust this to clean your floors...?

I heard somewhere that a woman fell asleep on the floor and got her hair caught in a ROOMBA while it was hoovering on her floor. Firefighters had to prise her hair out of it. Ouch!

After reading this horror story I won’t be buying one of these. Best to stick to my trusty Bissell upright!

I’m sure it’s Speedy and efficient at cleaning your carpets, as long as it doesn’t mistake your hair for crumbs/dust!

I'm in Love

e have a Bissell "fake Roomba" currently in use for all 3 floors of our house - we thought *it* did a great job.

And then we were introduced to the iRobot Roomba!

This vacuum is amazing!

We are owned by 2 dogs and 3 parrots, so the amount of dust and hair that accumulates on a daily basis is difficult to keep up with - and our Bissell needs TLC with respect to the main brush (taking it off once or twice a clean to pick hair, thread, and whatever it finds along its journey).

This iRoomba has an awesome tangle-free roller brush on the bottom and one side sweeper brush - both of which get into the floors and our low pile rugs deeper than we thought possible! The first time I ran it, I left to drop Husband off at work, and came back to an even cleaner house than normal on the main floor - AND the iRoomba actually docked itself for recharging (Bissell doesn't always do this, or it's dumb about it).

The garbage dispenser was a bit irksome at first to dispose of the debris (it comes off the front and holds SO much more dirt and hair than I imagined it could or would), but after the second disposal, it was rather simple.

It also has not fallen down the stairs (issues I had with the Bissell, which fell recently and thus the garbage door won't close!), and the sensors seem to be great for deterring itself from trouble.

Overall, this has made quality of life better, and ease of "vacuuming" simple.

Now they need to come up with a duster robot for the furniture, and we'd be set!
