Not very effective in highly odourous area

These charcoal bags are as pictured - a thick woven mesh bag that has a small baggy of charcoal within it. So although the charcoal is replaceable every 2-3 months, I do not really find it excessively effective in a normal sized bedroom.

I have been using it in our bird room (3 parrots), and it hasn't made a difference in the odor that their food and excrement cause (despite daily cleaning). I turned off our Rabbit Air Filter to test these out, and laid 2 of the pouches out for 1 week, and it wasn't very effective.

In Husband's bathroom, it was a bit more effective to help with some of his odours, but not enough to warrant the charcoal bag being deemed effective.

I feel these would work best as an actual insert in a filter that sucks in air, takes the air through the charcoal, and blows the air back out. On their own, I have not seen effectiveness
