Not the same as when I was a kid!
Bought a whole 6 pak...is it just me or is there a film left on your body after u wash? Used it when I was a kid and loved it but now it seems different and not the same. Good for hand washing tho! And clothes if u have to! 😀
Not a fan.
The aroma was pleasant, a clean smell to it. It lathers well, however, it left my skin feeling as though there were residue left over despite washing it completely off. I will not be recommending or purchasing this product again.
Great for sensitive skin
I use to have bad acne on my body due to the body wash I was using. Ever since I switched to Ivory Soap Bar I haven't had back acne. I would give it a try if you suffer from mild body acne.
No scum
Ivory Pure Clean and simple body bar soap left my skin soft and no soap scum after shower. I would recommend this to my friends it was wonderful. Ivory body bar soap lathers very well whether you use a face towel or a loofah sponge.
Love it
I have super sensitive skin and I'm allergic to alot of scented products,my whole family is the same way. We've used ivory my whole life (as long as I can remember) it leaves your skin feeling soo clean with a clean smell not an overpowering stink. You get out of the bath or shower feeling clean, smelling clean and no gross slimy residue or feeling in your skin!! Plus it's gentle enough to use on my kids.
The only soap I will use!
I tend to have very dry and sensitive skin, especially on my legs and arms. This is the only soap I will use. It's sensitive enough on my skin, moisturizes great and is a really good value for the price.
Just a regular marketing misclaim, average at best
The labeling is just for marketing appeal ("pure"). In actuality, the ingredients in this "plain soap" make it unsuitable for sensitive or dry skin, or regular washing, as it dries out skin quickly; really, it can add more complication, expense and pain to one's life, because dried-out skin is very difficult, or impossible, to reverse. For claiming to be simple, the number of ingredients is rather high, and features some unnecessary ones.
If you want a mild soap for regular washing or special washing (e.g. washing a wound, before applying medication, mixing with other substances) look for a natural, fragrance-free multi-purpose alternative.
Note: definitely not for people with more than a very mild sensitivity--as noted by many people, it feels strong and smells "risky" (strong, nauseating, dangerous, etc.). For regular people, the feeling and smell likely won't be offensive, but using a better, safer, more valuable product will be just better, safer and more valuable.
Soft and Clean!
Having a very sensitive skin, finding a good bar of soap is not always easy. Ivory is the best one for me and my family. I never have any skin problems when I use Ivory. Its perfume is fresh.
Cheaper than body wash and liquid soap
I love using this bar soap. It lasts a long time and is very effective and gentle on my hands. I also use it in the shower in place of body wash. I think I paid $2 for 6 bars 6 months ago and I'm almost through my first bar
dissolves too quickly
You can buy Ivory on sale for a decent price but it dissolves too quickly. It doesn't seem to last long at all. For that reason I don't buy it any more.
