This has become one of my "never leave the house without" products. The mint smell is mild, yet wonderful. The lip balm has some serious staying power and I only have to apply it a few times a day. The texture is thick, but easily sinks in. It's not sticky or very glossy. Overall, it's a perfect product for dry/chapped lips. It is a bit on the pricy side, but I apply mine multiple times a day and it's over six months old. In my option, it's fantastic value for money.
I don't have many 'holy grail' products, but Jack Black's Lip Balm line is hands-down irreplaceable! I've only tried the Natural Mint, which has a nice mint smell that lasts awhile but isn't ever overpowering, but I've heard all the scents are nice. It applies easily, doesn't leave a super shine, and leaves your lips feeling soft and moisturized. It is higher prices then your averaged lip balm, but a little product goes a long way and delivers. As well, they do sell kits with different scents from time to time at a discounted price, which brings the price per item down a bit. It's the perfect unisex product, as it's effective, easy to use, packaged nicely, and subtle ... but that's just one guys opinion. :)
First off, these smell amazing! They're available in 5 scents and the ones that I've tried are Black Tea & Blackberry and Grapefruit & Ginger. They have a really nice consistency, thick but not at all goopy and they last quite a long time on the lips. Great sun protection, as they have SPF 25, which is often hard to find in a lip balm. My only complaint about them is how small the tubes are because you may find yourself going through them quite quickly as they are highly addictive! But I guess it's easier to always have one within arms reach :)
Forgot to mention, Sephora usually has a 2 pack for $10 so if you can get that it's actually a very reasonable price!
Since flute playing in school used to be a part of my life, I always was a lip balm kind of girl and it just stuck because it was never sticky plus my lips do tend to get chapped in the winter without any! I always do a considerable amount of online research for most things before I buy and especially for beauty products, so of course the search for a great lip balm began. I ended up all over from youtube to make up review sites and finally came across this Jack Black balm. I went to Sephora and bought it for myself after reading the rave reviews. Since it is meant for guys, it doesn't have a glossy sheen which was just what I was looking for. The smell is great too - a nice minty smell and overall, it lasted for quite awhile. I love how it feels creamy when you first put it on but you can't tell when you look at it. The price of 7 dollars might be a little high but it actually lasts longer than you think since you don't end up using it quite as often to replenish your lips.
