It does make brushes smell more citrusy. It is just that, with all that alcohol present in the spray, it does not seem all that necessary to buy something nearly 27x more expensive than rubbing alcohol - especially since extended use of either one will dry the brushes out. I would like my brushes to smell neutral, and this stuff is strong smelling and long lasting. Not for me.
