100% OF CHICKS DIG IT
I dropped by Walmart to pick up a couple of household items. I came across a case of Great Value Lemonade (non-carbonated). I thought I'd give it a try since it was only $2.50 for a case of 12. I cracked one open when I got home. So refreshing. It had just enough sweetness and tart to bring a smile to my face on a hot summer day.
I bought 4 colours while they were on sale: Rose- a pinky mauve, Tango-a slightly orange bright red, Raspberry-a light fuchsia, and Wine-exactly that a deep berry red. All 4 are gorgeous colours. I think the lighter colours in line are more sheer because rose is subtly enhances my natural lip colour while adding a shine which isn't too over-the-top. I also hear "Kiss" is a light pink that is barely-there. The other 3 colours on the other hand (tango, raspberry, and wine) are all pigmented and quite true to the label and tube, although raspberry's label might be a bit dark.
I love the balmy texture of these because I hate the waxy heaviness of lipsticks. These would be better sold as a tinted lip balm so people know what to expect. They are not drying in the least and are very build-able. I love a product with versatility and these can act as cheek stains and can be applied sparingly for a sheerer colour.
Unfortunately, they don't last a very long time and do transfer. The 3 more pigmented colours stay on once dried a bit but they aren't long-wear by any means. Luckily, they can be easily touched up for more shine and moisture.
The Rose is an excellent MLBB for likely anyone, but especially me since my lips are naturally a bit rose colured. Wine was surprisingly flattering, really flattering. It looks a bit brown in the tube, but once applies it's not too vampy and very red. It's a good way to try out a darker lip without going too dramatic or worrying about the consistency of dark lipsticks and depending on the number of coats, Wine can be subtle or bold. Tango and Raspberry are very fun summer colours.
I'm a very big fan of these and can see myself using them often. I do wish they had better staying power and were a tad more moisturising, but I really can't complain because they are so versatile and pretty and cheap. I got them on sale for $1.44 each! But $6 is a decent price. I definitely recommend the more pigmented colours!
