I've tried this stuff and believe it works well, but I won't buy it again unless they come up with a version that is easier on ecosystems and the environment. Until then I will be using mayonnaise masks and egg yolk rinses.
I am yet another lover of this shampoo and conditioner. My hair is never shinier and healthy looking than when I'm using these products. I do think it is important to switch shampoos frequently because hair quits responding after a while but this is definitely in my shower more than any other shampoos/conditioners.
OMG it ruined my hair!!! Do not buy it under any circumstances (SALE, ADVERTISMENT, PEER PRESSURE ETC) it is bad and damaging! If you have bleached hair or highlighted, this shampoo and conditioner will dry your hair out and split your ends!!! The product (for Blonde hair) contains acid that ruins the structure of hair. Bad product even worse results!!!
I absolutely love this product. I've tried other shampoos but I always go back to Brilliant Brunette. It makes my hair unbelievably shiny, but not in a greasy way, in a HEALTHY way. I love the way my hair feels afterwards. I can't describe the product more than that, it's just lovely!
Although very excited to try this line, my hair was left feeling very dry and unmanagable. Now, this isn't saying too much, because I naturally have very dry hair. I noticed a little change in color, which was nice, but I wasn't wowed. This line would probably work best for people with finer hair that is less dry.
For the longest time I could not find the right shampoo for my dark hair but then finally the store near me started carrying John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner for darker brown hair tones. I was skeptical at first at how a shampoo could bring out the shine in my dark hair but this product works UNBELIEVEABLY well. I kept getting compliments on how healthy my hair looks and people kept asking what I had done to it, the only change I had made is to start using this shampoo & conditioner! For you ladies out there with darker hair tones, give this product a try! It works and leaves you hair feeling soft and looking super shiny!
I bought this shampoo and conditioner a long while back when it was on sale, and when I had brown highlights. Now that my hair colour is back to its natural darkness is when I decide to use it :P
Anywhoo, even on my dark hair I liked the results. It was much shinier and much more manageable. It definitely did look healthier! Even still, this isn't a product I would buy on a regular basis, seeing that my hair colour doesn't quite fit the match. Not only that, is it is a large price to pay for shampoo and conditioner. I would rather pay more for hair care that is of better quality designed for hair type, rather than for one that only targets a certain group of hair colours.
What I don't like about all these blonde, brunette. red head shampoo collections is that there isn't one that caters to us dark haired women. According to to my hair stylist, my hair technically isn't black. But to me it is in comparision to everyone else's. Not that Ia m saying that I want lighter hair!
I love my dark locks but these shampoo companies have got to start making product lines for everyone.
This product gives me the same feeling as pulling out leftovers for dinner. Its better than zapping something out of a box, but I'd rather go to the Olive Garden.
I did stick to this product for a few months. The smell is great, and your hair really does come out looking shiny and healthy. However, I think the conditioning effect could be better - it just didn't cut it without loading leave-in conditioner in to my hair. We are talking about my hair though. I have hair that NEVER gets greasy, but is prone to split ends and looks baked.
If you have normal hair, this product is probably worth the buck, and you'll be really happy with the visual results you get. However, if you're going through ever moisturizing product you can find, suck it up and go for a higher end product, such as Aveda's color care line.
I love this shampoo. It honestly does make your hair shiny and bring out natural (or dyed) tones! Just make sure you buy the correct colour range for your hair (one made for light brunettes one for dark.) Shoppers Drug Mart puts this product on sale (2 for 1 generally) so if you don't want to splurge on it, but see it on sale, it's totally worth it! Walmart also carries it for slightly less than average.
I'm not really big on spending lots of money on high-end shampoos and conditioners when I can go to Wal-Mart or Shoppers and buy something for less than five bucks. One day I decided to spend the extra cash on these shampoos and conditioners just to see what the fuss was about. I don't know about you, but spending ten dollars per bottle seems a bit much to me. I can't imagine going and spending twenty to thirty dollars like some people do!
I tried it and I was shocked how much I loved it! It gives that professional scent, look, and feel that I love from the salon. I was really impressed with this stuff and I was happy to know that it didn't cost salon prices. My hair feels really healthy and looks nice and shiny when I use these products. I wouldn't buy them all the time because of the extra money they do cost, but occasionally I will be coming back to this product. If they make it cheaper I would use it all the time because it's really good.
