I have very curly hair. I find that it makes my hair feel like straw. It didn't keep my hair any straighter than if I just flat ironed.
This is the product to speed up straightening for girls with curly hair. You MUST blow dry hair first or it wont activate and it must be completely dry. If straightening with a round brush while blow drying works the best. It cuts down the straightening in half if blow dyed semi straight. Great product
This is the best product I have ever used on my hair. I am not exaggerating. The PR for John Frieda told me about it and I have to say I was super skeptical. It's not that I didn't believe it would work, I just didn't think it would work on me. My hair is three textures: fine and wavy on top, fine and curly in the middle and underneath it's course and curly. Not fun. Hairdressers always comment on how deceiving it looks and takes forever to blow dry. I sprayed about ten pumps on my damp hair (my hair is mid-longish) and started with my usual blow-dry routine using a round brush. I could see the difference on that first chunk of hair. I usually have a fair amount of kink at the root that I can never get ride of unless I straight iron right from the scalp, but it was pretty much non existent. My hair looked smoother and with no frizz except the ends of my hair which need trimming (there's always a part that just won't blow dry without a bit of frizz and wave), and was straight. Just a little upturn at the end from the brush I was using. It didn't feel like it was coated in chemicals either, but didn't feel super light like it was going to turn into a million fly-aways in the wind. Finished my hair and barely had to flat iron but I did as the product recommended you do and I didn't want to mess up my hair if it need activating or sealing from the heat, also my ends looked less damaged after flat ironing. My hair stayed straight all day. It was humid and hot out. I repeat, my hair stayed straight and frizz-free all day. The product said that your hair would stay this way for the next three days. Not to be TMI but when I sleep I get sweaty so usually my hair (especially the underpart that is course and curly) waves up again in my sleep. I was prepared to have to straighten it all over again the next morning, but hoping it would be quicker because of the product. I woke up and it was still totally straight. I couldn't believe it! I wash my hair every other day, but can push it three days. I am on day three now, still did not have to straighten this morning. My hair is about the usual level of oily that it would be on day three, so the product doesn't build up and make your hair feel dirty. I really can't believe this product worked so well. I have really problem hair, and so when I find something that works I am astounded. I am astounded now.
I tried this product a couple nights ago. It's supposed to be for people will curly/frizzy hair to help it stay straight for a couple days after washing. In the instructions, it says to spray this product on wet hair, then blow dry straight and use a flat iron. It also says that if you need a touch up on the second or third day, to use your flat iron then. My first thought was: what's the point of the product if you have to flat iron as usual anyways?
And after testing the product, I don't think it helped my hair straighten easier at all. It was a very light spray which I suppose is ideal if you don't want your hair weighed down, but as someone with thick and curly hair, I NEED weight or I'll end up looking like a poodle. For this reason, I much prefer to use a thicker cream on my hair whether I'm leaving it natural or straightening it. I also found that my hair didn't feel as smooth as it does when I use glossing creams.
I got to try this out as a brand sample but I would not buy it for myself. I still love the classic Frizz-Ease serum though!
