I received a 30ml size sample of the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Finishing Crème as a free sample, but you can buy a 115ml size of it at well.ca for $11.99. I usually just let my hair dry on its own, but this was really made for those of us that do blow dry and do other types of styling to our hair. A lot of time I’ll go to bed with my hair still wet and when I wake up the next day the ends of my hair and sometimes through out my hair is a fizzy mess. I have long, thin, straight hair that tends to have a mind of its own. I also have what I call combo hair because it tends to get oily on top and starts to get dry half way down and to the bottom. After reading that this is supposed to camouflage your imperfections by smoothing away any dullness, puffiness and frayed split ends. I thought I’d give it a try before I gave it away. They also say that it can immediately restore moisture to quench parched hair and create ultra-glossy, supple hair with an incredibly healthy-looking finish. So after sleeping with wet hair I woke the next day to my usually fuzzy mess and I pulled the John Fried Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Finishing Crème out and gave it a try. All you do is put a small amount into the palms of your hands and pull it through your hair concentrating on your ends. I did this and was amazed at how well it worked on my hair! Like I said my hair tends to get oily on top and even though I ran it through out all of my hair it didn’t turn it oily, it didn’t look oily and it didn’t feel oily. It did just what it said it could do and it left my hair smooth, silky and healthy looking. Even after having it in my hair for over 24 hours my hair still didn’t look, or feel oily in any way witch wasn’t something I expected to happen. I thought for sure after a day it would begin to turn oily but that never happened. Another bonus with the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Finishing Crème is that it contains a UV filter that should help to protect your hair from sun damage. If your hair tends to be frizzy no matter what type of hair you have, or what you normally may do to it, I would definitely tell you to give the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Finishing Crème a try! I’m very happy I did and I will be buying more of it when this sample is done.
I got this as a sample from the elite club member and i love it. I have straight hair that at times needs some tlc for the frizz after showering or from the heat. Just a dab of this rubbed between the palms of the hands and lightly patted on the hair fixes all the imperfections and makes the hair look great. I have oily hair and i find that is doesn't make it oily at all it makes it nice and shinny and smooth and i love that i don't have little pieces sticking up every where. I have recommend this to family and friends and i will be going to buy this again when i run out.
i love this product. it smooths out my fly away hair, and i can count on it to help me have a good hair day. this product is a must have in my daily hair routine!
I received this as a sample in the John Frieda Elite Members Club kit. This is definitely going to be one of the products I rebuy.
I use this on dry hair, in the morning as a last step, after any curling, serums etc that I might use. It's kind of a multi purpose finishing cream for me. I use it to attack frizz, smooth my hair and also to hydrate my dry hair. I have used this on my curly and straight hair. I really like that it seems to soak into my hair and last all day making it soft.
It's a nice thick consistency, similar to a body lotion and has a nice, pleasant smell.
This product is not as effective without using a blow dryer or straightening iron. I tried applying on dry hair, and it just made my hair clump on the ends. I do not use heat on my hair, except on special occasions. I found this product to be a win-lose for me personally, but do not regret buying it.
I love this stuff! This is my go to product for taming my hair. I have slightly wavy, mid-textured hair and since I just let it air-dry, I need something to smooth it. I love that I can use this on dry hair and it doesn't feel sticky or heavy. There is only one product I like better - but hey its aveda and it costs $30! For this price point, effectiveness, the light cream-gel texture, and the end feel of my hair, the fact that I can reapply on day two, this one beats my salon buy.
I have to say this is definitely a "Secret Weapon" by John Frieda. Although, personally cream products like this weigh my own oily, fine hair down. This works fantastic on others with really dry and/or curly hair. Especially for blow drying, flat ironing straight. I now use this every time I straighten my Mother's super curly hair for special occasions. I've never found any other product similar to this that works so well at taming the frizz, curls. It cuts all the heavy work out of pulling, plating down by half. Even though it might seem pricey for a drug store brand, it's completely worth every penny.
I use this everyday on my frizzy flyaway hair, so far this is the only product that tames my hair. You can use it on wet or dry hair and a small amount goes a long way, so even though it is on the expensive side, it lasts a long time.
This is my regular every day go-to product! I have very thick and curly/wavy hair so I normally only wash my hair every 2-3 days. This is perfect for in-between shower days because it totally tames my hair and makes it soft and smooth. Definitely lives up to what it claims to do with only minimal product. About the size of 2 peas is just right for my hair and it lasts all day. Love it!
I also read on the back of the bottle that it contains sunscreen? So another bonus!
This is a very nice finishing product. My hair is fairly dry because it is naturally curly and I blow dry and flat iron it when I get out of the shower so my ends are usually pretty dry after styling. This moisturized my ends very well and leaves my hair looking very shiny without making it greasy. I like that it is a cream as it is easy to apply, and a small amount really goes a long way.
