Love it!

I always use a serum after my weekly hair wash to help my dry, dull ends and to prevent frizziness. I like this one because it’s a good mixture for uv, colour and damage protection while hydrating at the same time. It leaves my hair looking healthy and smooth.

Le protecteur est un "must" à avoir dans ses produits! Il est plus épais que mes autres mais il s'applique mieux surtout lorsque vos cheveux sont mouillés!

nice protector for hair

I really liked this line which I received from Chick Advisor or testing purposes. This product goes on silky and leaves my hair shiny and hydrated. You do not need a lot of this product either so it will last a long time.

This was a great product that I was given the opportunity to test out for free. It’s very lightweight and doesn’t leave behind any greasy or sticky residue at all. It added a nice shine to my hair and made the ends look especially smooth - I have dark brown hair that I’ve been slowly destroying with blonde balayage for the past three years and this really made a difference to how healthy my hair looks! Highly recommend!

Impressed with this product!

I would always neglect using a protector, and it’s been noticeable on my hair with excessive damage. This product made a noticeable difference with the damage on my hair and smoothing it out!

A saving grace to heat styling

Joico's defy damage heat protectant has really been a saving grace, to my daily use of heat styling (straightener/curling wand/blow dryer). It helps to prevent damage and is a great primer to use before styling. Great for maintaining my hair colour and keeping my hair healthy despite the heat.

Awesome

This stuff is great at protecting my hair from heat but also giving my hair some extra nourishment. It’s a bit pricey but it’s the best protectant I’ve ever tried and it doesn't weigh down mu fine hair! I’d totally recommend it.

Not for my hair ...

First I want to disclose that I received this product free to try for reviewing from chickadvisor. During our road trip to Pennsylvania I used this product a couple of times and while it worked well for my split ends, it didn’t help control frizz for the bulk of my hair and didn’t meet my own needs. But I think it would work better on thinner hair

It's ok

Personally, I prefer my thermal protection in a spray bottle form. It's simple, keeps my hands clean and lightweight. This protective shield, however, does feel lightweight in my hair.
I do enjoy the fact that this product includes protection against thermal styling AS WELL as UV damage. Not many products (or that I can find) has protection against the sun's harmful rays.
Other than the protection it gives to my hair, I don't feel any difference in feel or look.

Serum like!

A great heat protectant. Serum-like consistency. Didn't really do much for my curls on it's own but best combined with my leave-ins. Great to lock in moistutre.
