I was fairly disappointed in this product - I felt even with a primer it didn't last as long as my regular gel liner. I was really excited about the idea of having gel quality product in a pencil, but I don't think they've quite perfected their formula at this point. That being said it goes on smoothly and with awesome pigment and Julep has released a great variety of shades so far. I'm sure there are other people out there who love it and swear by it, but that's not me.

Not a huge fan. The colors something that I need to get used to

I love the product. With the Maven discount their product line becomes affordable and a very smart buy. The glider is lasting and does not smudge. The colors are perfect for a day/night out makeup.

I have the smoky plum color. It is really a beautful color and easy to apply - very smooth. However, it does not last all day. I found it to be very smudgy and runny and was not in place at the end of a work day. Cannot recomend on that basis!

Julep Gel Eye Glider is another excellent product from Julep. It comes in a variety of engaging colors. Mine is the Smoky Plum and it goes so well with the Neutrals Sweep Eyeshadow Palette colors. The color sets in 30 seconds and lasts the whole day, with no need to refresh or reapply. The plum color is very versatile and would enhance the look of any eye. A great product!

This just came in my most recent Julep Maven box and I am very impressed! The Gel Eye Glider is really soft and doesn’t drag on my eyes at all (like I have now realized my other eye liner does), which makes it easier to apply for me as well. It’s really easy to work with, and I’ve been able to create thin, natural looking lines as well as darker, bolder lines.
The formula is supposed to set in 30 seconds, and stay waterproof for at least 10 hours. I haven’t tested it for the full 10 hours, but I’ve had this on for close to that before washing it off and the formula was definitely long-wearing! Usually pencil liners smudge or just disappear after a couple of hours on my eyes, but this one didn’t budge or transfer at all. It also needed some makeup remover to wash it off fully, so it is waterproof.
I got this in Smoky Plum, and there are 3 other shades (black, shimmery beige and brown). The name really suits this one because the purple looks very smoky when you apply it lightly, and almost blackened when you draw thicker lines. Both the shade and the formula are awesome, and I’m happy I decided to try it out. The difference between the Gel Eye Glider and the liner pencil I was using before is pretty huge – the Julep one is pricier, but it feels much nicer to apply and it stays on so much longer! The price is $16 US, or $12.80 US if you're a Julep subscriber.
