It's Whipped Matte Lip mousse from Julep is very comfortable to wear. As its name would suggest, it has a beautiful whipped consistency that glides on the lips effortlessly. It feels comfortable and is not drying. It doesn't dry down completely and does not last through meals but it wears off evenly and reapplies really well. The staying power is somewhere between a liquid lipstick and a traditional lipstick. The applicator is a doe foot in a bottle shape that makes applying easy. I purchased the colour Bisou which is a beautiful pinky mauve that I love to wear day to day. I will purchase other shades.

I adore the whole line of It's Whipped Matte Lip Mousses that Julep put out - I got all of them at the same time and love every shade. The doe foot applicator works perfectly to spread the mousse on my lips and I find it dries matte without being very drying. They also last me all day, though if I'm eating or drinking a lot I do have to touch up once, but still the lasting power is impressive. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

The best thing about this product is the vibrancy of the lip mousse. It feels weird the first time you try it, because it goes on creamy and then eventually dries to a matte finish, but the matte finish is quite lovely. The thing I don't like about it though is the brush. It's a really weird shape that is almost a ball at the end. It's easy to get it to the line of your lip though, weird is good since the colours are so pigmented it would be noticeable if it didn't reach your true lip line. The other thing is if you have really dry lips, this product probably isn't for you. You really need to make sure your lips are moisturized first, otherwise the matte finish really shows off how dry your lips are. The product itself at $20 USD is a bit expensive, but if you get it as part of your monthly Maven box, or use a coupon code, it cuts the price down and it can be very reasonable. Even for the price it is, it's a really good product that is well worth the extra few dollars compared to a cheap lip product that doesn't last.
