I have a multi-barrel curling iron from Conair currently (detachable barrels for ringlets, regular curl, flattening, etc.), but it spends WAY too much time in the drawer due to how long it takes to curl my fine hair, and lack of holding power.
I felt Kadori might be able to offer my hair more than a regular mainstream curling iron, as I have fine thin long hair. Nothing holds it expect for a plethora of hair spray and hope.
This iron is impressive to look at – it has a large barrel, has an extraordinarily long cord, an easy on/off button, 5 temperature settings, and shuts off automatically after an hour (preventing those panic moments on the way to work).
It heats up in under 30 seconds, and is ready to use!
While using it, the iron emits a lot of steam, and easily unclasps with its durable spring system, letting the hair fall when it’s time to create the next “curl.” Unfortunately, I tried several different lengths of time to create curls, upwards of 45 seconds, and other than feeling a lot of heat, no curls happened. I got a bit of a wave, but that was the extent of its power, unfortunately.
I also found that the barrel got extremely hot, so I could only hold it so close to my head to avoid it touching my skin.
So for me and my hair, this curling iron, unfortunately, flopped. Perhaps it works better for thicker hair? I would rather use my mainstream curling iron, as despite the time it takes to create curls, it works on my hair.
