Rancid?!

I purchased the Chocolate Banana Nut w/ Almond butter from my grocery store with an expiry date of April 2019. I cant tell if this flavour is just so bad that it tasted of peanuts that had gone off or if it really was contaminated somehow. Either way it was horrible and I wouldn't purchase again.
