Ethical beans, locally roasted, support for the Arts.

This brand is always stocked in our independent local grocery store and I like to buy it because of the company mission. They treat the planet and their growers sustainably, and I love that they are sponsors of the Banff Mountain Film Festival too. They are a little pricier than some others but their blends are all awesome in flavour. I drink two strong black cups a day and will not compromise with inferior product. We only buy whole beans and grind daily, but have had their ground coffees at restaurants and events, and they're very good. For anyone who finds coffee generally too acidic or bitter, try a tiny pinch of salt in your grounds when you brew or press. Even smoother, and no salty taste.

The best flavour is KickAss! Love the titles of all their coffees, I prefer coffee beans, over ground coffee. I'm a bit of a coffee snob, but this coffee is suited for all!

Always good

Year after year, I find myself returning to Kicking Horse! I will deviate and try a local brand but realize I do not love them as much as Kicking Horse's distinctive, consistently well-roasted brands. The flavours of all their roasts are complex, nuanced, and balanced. As a rule, Kicking Horse leans towards the acidic side, so it does well with some milk or creamer.

I first tried this coffee last summer in Canmore and was hooked, the only downfall was i couldnt find it in our local grocery store, now we have it. I love the aromatic smell of it, smooth enough you dont to to add cream or sugar. My all time fave coffee only on ei will buy

Excellent at-home coffee

Definitely a bit more expensive than my usual Starbucks beans but worth the price. The beans are great quality (I drink this black) and it's always good to support local businesses.

Great taste at home

Love how great the coffee beans tasted once I ground them up and brewed it at home. Loved how it didn't have a lingering bitter taste, but instead was fresh and a great deep taste

My heart beats for you

I love a great cup of black coffee where you can taste the different flavours & smell the aromas. I also like to know how my coffee is sourced & where it is made. The kicking horse company is very open about its process & you can visit their location. They are a brand I will continue to buy from for the rest of my life

The kick I need in the morning!

The kicking horse brand of coffee is my coffee of choice. I am prepared to pay a little more for quality beans that are organic and ethical. There are many varieties available. My favourites are , 454 horsepower, hoodoo jo, and kick ass. I buy the beans that I grind at home. As I only have one strong cup of coffee daily, I will not skimp on quality. I stock up when the coffee is on sale and I will never change brands!

Worth the price

I enjoy good quality coffee at home and Kicking Horse is one of my favourites. It’s bold and rich without that dreaded burnt twig taste. I will happily spend my money on something that tastes great!

great taste

I really like this coffee. It is very strong and has a deep taste. It is very expensive so I only purchase it when it is on sale or if it is at a discounted price somewhere.
