Amazing texture

The texture is amazing and fluffy! We love this type of kinetic sand. But be warned. If you have a white table like us, the colors will stain your table if you play with the sand on it. Just be sure to play on a surface that is for messy play and not your beautiful white Ikea table... lesson learned. We love the texture of this sand when it is packed and molded too. Soooo smooth!! Great sand!

Fun without the mess!

Kinetic sand rainbow cake shoppe was a hit in my house with all three girls (ages 7.5 and twins age 9). They have played with other kinetic sand kits in the past, however this one had a “playdoh create food” type element to it. They loved making different layers of the cake and serving it out. And ultimately as a mom, I appreciated the easy clean up involved with the kinetic sand kit (a much quicker clean up when compared with playdoh). I would definitely recommend this set to anyone looking for a gift for a child who loves to make play food.

Memories

I was so excited to receive this for free from Butterly to test out. Brought back so many memories of when my older kids played with product when they were younger and now the little ones get to experience it as well.
How cool is it to build a cake from Kinetic Sand? Colours of the sand are exactly as it shows on the box. It is a little messy but that’s what memories are made from.

Fun Twist on Kinetic Sand

My daughter loves kinetic sand and all things sensory play. So this new rainbow cake shop was right up her alley! Using the included moulds make it easy to make layered cakes and lots of fun decoration moulds and add ons like a plate, lifter, fork, stand and candles add to the play. Not to mention the sand is scented and the box becomes a cute little cake shop! This kit provided hours of fun in our house already. It’s a win for sure!

Great sensory toy for young kids

My son has ADHD and has possible ASD. These toys are great for him because they feed the sensory stimulation he’s looking for. He can okay with it for hours, even better for me is that the clean up is so simple because it’s almost magnetic the way it sticks together. Great activity to do as a whole family. You can create and play in all different ways and it can even be a stress reliever for adults! Would definitely recommend this to anyone that is looking for a rainy day activity.

So much fun

This is an amazingly creative way for kids to spend time by making cakes . it’s so easy to play with . it definitely boosts creativity in children as they can make cakes of their favourite colours and shapes .My niece spent her whole weekend by making cakes with these hamper and then sharing with her siblings.

Awesome Product

Received this fantastic set from Spin Master -- Kinetic Sand Rainbow Cake Shoppe. Comes with 4 nicely coloured sands and lots of accessories. So smart that the box folds into itself to make a play area! My daughter has played with this every day. Of course the 4 coloured sands have now all joined together into a new colour, lol.

The only minor "problem" is that there are some decoration molds under the cake stand, but once you have placed the cake on the stand, you are not able to use it to make decorations. You would need to make the decorations first, but since the sand tends to crumble, it would be hard to put these aside while getting the cake prepared.

Overall, we love this set. Both my 7-year old and 11-year old children have been playing with it. They find it relaxing. My youngest has been using kitchen tools, and items from other games to add to this set, to help her make more decorations etc. If the sand spills, I find it is easy to clean up. I would definitely purchase this set.

Great Activity!

This Kinetic sand Rainbow Cake shoppe, is a great activity that all three of my kids were able to enjoy and play for hours. There was 4 different colours of kinetic sand, so they each had a colour. The white colour smelled like a very sweet vanilla cake. The girls loved that it had a scent. They enjoyed using the moods to make decorations and really let their creativity shine while making tons of cake displays. They even tried marbling the different colours. Kinetic sand is amazing for kids to play with because it Moldavia to any shape but can easily come apart and feels so neat in your hands. Very calming and good for sensory play. This kit came with a good amount of sand and tools to play with. I would definitely recommend it. These kits make for great presents!!
