We love kinetic sand! My daughter received Sandyland as a Christmas gift and she loved the scented sand. As a parent it’s hours of contained, sensory fun for your child and makes for easy clean up. What more can you ask for?

Keeps the kids entertained for hours

This set is super cute. I love that it comes in its own case. I do wish that the sand inside had their own little resealable bags or boxes as well but no biggie. It comes with lots of colourful accessories and is so much fun for the kids. I definitely recommend this kit as it’s great for sensory play.

My daughter loved this. One thing I would say is the picture on the box is a bit deceiving as it seems like there is a lot more sand. We liked the colour variety and loved the smell. We also appreciated the case to keep it all together.

Sweet Sand Box Fun!

My son and I were happy to review this fun Kinetic Sand Portable Playset from Spin Master toys called "Sandyland". We got it for free from the Family Rated Club through Chick Advisor. The Sandyland playset is made with natural sand, and comes with a total of 2lbs of Kinetic Sand. This includes 1lb of Brown Colored Kinetic Sand, 0.5lb Teal Colored Kinetic Sand, and the crowd pleasing 0.5lb Pink Colored Strawberry Scented Kinetic Sand. Additional sand sold separately. The playset also comes with over 15 Tools, including: 7 Molds for making sweet treats (like cupcakes, cookies & ice cream cones); 2 Stamps; 6 Toppings; a sheet of cardboard Punch-Outs, & one Spatula. We both like the handy case. You can play in it, then fold up your scene for quick storage. My son said there was enough sand in the kit, but he wishes that the Brown & Teal colored sands were also scented! He says the Brown Colored Kinetic Sand should smell like chocolate, and the Teal Colored Kinetic Sand should smell like vanilla. It would seem like a good fit for the playset. I think this Sandyland playset makes a great sensory toy for little kids ages 3 and up. My son enjoyed playing with this set, and thinks kids around 5 & 6 years old will enjoy playing with this set the most. Sensory play for the win!

This kinetic sand kit has been an absolute saviour this week! Baking 'treats' is always a go-to with our sensory play, so this Sandyland kit was a sure winner. My five year old has been playing chef for days, and my two year old has been having a blast figuring out how to manipulate the sand and use all the tools. And you know what . . . I can't keep my hands off it! I love the way it feels, love that it's easy to clean up (in theory, the bin contains everything, but my kids won't be contained, but it is so easy to glob it up off the floor). I think this will be replacing our dough play . . . and I see some more sand in our future.
