I expected more for the price

This is the 2nd kippy I have ordered as the 1st one did not arrive.
First Impressions:
The box and the tracker look really high quality.
The device:
It came with a velcro strap which is the only way to attach to the collar. I was hoping for a secure silicone attachment that the tracker slipped in an out of like I've seen on other devices. I didn't feel confident that the strap would be secure as I have a very hairy dog and the strap needs to be taken off regular for charging. The charging dock is not the best design, there has been a few occasions where I have though the unit was in the dock but it has slipped out. The subscription for the GPS is quite expensive but as far as I can tell, it is fairly accurate when it works correctly. I wanted this tracker over others because this one offers physical activity tracking and I pay a lot of money for my dog to be walked when I'm at work so of course I want to know where he is and what he's up to!
I didn't have a problem with the size of the tracker as my dog is a giant breed so it went unnoticed. I tried to set up a geofence as I have done in the past with different trackers but the app never alerted me when the dog had left the house/garden to go with the daily dog walker. I only managed to track him live once because they phoned me to tell me he was out.
The tracker seems to go into standby mode and I don't know how to get round this but it doesn't register on the app at all when you click to 'go live' I have been getting random VITA messages about my dogs activity and notifications mainly telling me that the kippy can't be connected. The tracker has been sat on the side for the past few days but the range of the tracking history has wandered over a 200m distance on the map.
From the box arriving I was very excited because I thought I had a quality product that would do everything I wanted but I have been left disappointed and feel that this tracker needs a lot of improvement and just simply is not worth the money at the moment

Great wee gadget

Got this last week as we want to keep a close eye on our baby Leo, with the dark nights we worry about him.
I was surprised with the amount of information the app provides, it is so accurate and can really see where he wanders off to. I love the live tracking feature especially as it lets you know exactly what his location is and you see his little movements on the map, it's cute and gives me peace of mind. It even gives you a breakdown of Leo's activity which is very cool. I think the service charge could be a little cheaper but to be honest, it's well worth it for giving us the reassurance of knowing where our baby is at all the time. The app is easy to use, if a bit slow at times but that could depend on a number of things.
Would have liked the actual device to be a bit smaller, it's big and bulky but Leo seems to not mind it too much so if he's happy I'm happy.
I would recommend this product (and actually have done so already) for it's ease of use, for the accuracy and impressive volume of the information provided.
Well worth the money!
