Well, as a deal hunter and new mom I was looking for the best bang for my buck and do many moms rave and rave about Kirkland diapers. I'm shocked.
I bought my son a box when they were on sale. I thought they were soft and liked the "jungle theme" he wore them a few times and they seemed fine bit every morning he would wake up SOAKING WET and I'd have to strip his crib and replace his sheets every day. That's A LOT of laundry.
So after asking around I found they were terrible for overnight and went back to my Huggies for bed. I continued to use the Kirkland diapers for day time use and thought they were working fine. But I kept smelling pee everywhere we went! I thought maybe my dogs peed on something. Well today I realized no, it is the Kirkland diapers! One tiny pee and it's all you can smell. Ugh I'm less than impressed. I suppose they do their "job" and contain pee and poop for a minute until you can change your baby. But not worth the money to me.
If you just wait for a Huggies sale and combine a coupon they work out to the same price and frankly the insurance of no leaks us worth the extra pennies I might spend! Also when you take into consideration the points on Huggies you aren't "saving" much.
I don't recommend these (or the wipes) but that's a different review.
I used these diapers and they worked very well up until size 3. I then had to buy the next size up on order to prevent leaks. Now my son is a size 6 and I think I'll be switching over to another brand because there is constant leakage. I still recommend them because they are a great price and it's more bang for your buck but once you see that they are leaking often you may want to go up to the next size to prevent it
I don't use these overnight because they aren't absorbent enough, but they are a good daytime diaper. However, I find with using coupons, I can buy pampers or huggies for less money. Don't be fooled in to thinking that Costco always has the best prices.
I had so many leaks using these diapers that I was going through far too many so I would rather pay more for Huggies and not worry about it.
No leakage (good coverage and elasticized banding works well) and holds a LOT of mess. I found these worked best on both my children and recommended to friends. Used to be much better value until prices rose to match name brand prices, but very good price when you can get them on sale... STOCK UP!! Only complaint would be finding some diapers with hardened plasticy feel on the absorbent part of the diaper. Returned to Costco and they replaced it, no issue.
Since this was our first we had no idea what brand to buy so we tried a lot. A lot! This was the one we've been using for the majority of the time. They never leak and the price is fantastic. We tried a few other brands that were comparable in price or cheaper and they leaked. These are very reliable, even overnight!
After having two kids, I learned to buy my diapers at Costco. The first child I bought all Pampers, and while they were better than Huggies (I think anything is!), they were still quite expensive. I have bought all my 2nd childs diapers at Costco, and it is so much more cost effective. They are the best disposables we have tried. Huggies leaked like crazy, and Pampers worked, but were expensive for the amount per package.
Maybe I'm lucky but my son has rarely had a diaper leak. It seems he fits most disposable diapers. For this reason, Kirkland disposable diapers work great for us. They aren't as expensive as other name brand diapers but they work just as well. The elastic around the legs really holds everything in. My husband isn't a fan of the patterns on the diapers but you don't really see them for long.
Loved these for our daughter after she was born. Kept her dry and comfortable which was an issue for us because other brands had given her a rash on her bottom. And you absolutely cannot beat the price.
