Be careful - it's not keto friendly
Kirkland bars are delicious and for a long time I thought they were a less expensive alternative to Quest bars - which very much excited me. But unfortunately they use IMo (just they change the name on the label to Tapioca Starch - no fair!). So unfortunately they are much higher in carbs than they claim to be.
Besides that, delicious and filling!
In love with these protein bars!
Im very conscious when it comes to protein bars. I know that some can have so much sugar that you might as well eat a candy bar!
With 21g of protein and only 1g of sugar, theses bars keep me full and satisfy my sugar cravings!
great texture and value!
These are great! Not only do they have a great taste and texture, but they're so reasonably priced! Protein bars can get pricy, and the inexpensive ones are usually not as nutritious, these are the best of both worlds.
Costco protein bar
I recently bought these protein bars. The taste is ok but very chewy and very rich. It almost tastes like condensed milk powder. Not really a fan. The chocolate brownie flavour is better than the cookie dough. The upside is that it had chips of real chocolate in the bars which add a bit of crunch. The other upside is the price is pretty good
Great price if you dont mind chewing for a long time
I purchased these bars from my local Costco store. They are comparable to other brands that are more expensive but they are extremely chewy. The taste is ok but the texture is very chewy.
Best bang for your buck protein bars on the market! The cost for a 20 pack of these bars is $24 at Costco, this equates to less than $1.50 a bar! Compare that to the other popular, low carb protein bars like Combat and Quest which cost anywhere from $2.50-$4.00 per bar. The macros in these bars are also great for those who track. They are also comparable to the low carb 'high end' protein bars but half the price (20g protein, 7g fat, 24g carbs). You really can't beat the value of the bars. Although they aren't the best tasting protein bar I've ever had, I still like the taste. For the price point and nutritional value of these bars, totally worth it. Will continue to repurchase!
I really enjoy these protein bars. They are a very good price at Costco and live up to the higher priced varieties. There are two flavors, cookie dough and chocolate chip. The cookie dough has a sort of vanilla and cookies and cream flavor. It is a vanilla protein bar with chocolate chunks throughout. The chocolate chip is a chocolate base protein bar with chocolate chunks throughout. These are good either heated in the oven, heated in the microwave or eaten just as is.
I have tried a variety of protein bars over the years and these have got to be one of my favourites. The best way to eat these, in my opinion, is to microwave them for a few seconds, until they are soft and the chips are slightly melty. The other way is to bake them in the oven at a low temperature for a short time; they puff up and become more like a rectangular cookie. The chocolate chips in the bar taste like protein powder, which I personally enjoy. These will not disappoint.
These bars were so good and great value for the money compared to the other popular brand. They were moist and chewy and satisfied my hunger. Would so recommend!
Love these bars high in protein and fiber, plus low in sugar. Very nice flavours just a bit on the chewy side. Much better value than quest bars if you have access to Costco.
