Definitely a repurchase for me

It’s a little hard to use because acrylic drys quick but overall works amazing and the results is the same as if I went to a nail salon. The white tips aren’t that great but the clear ones are bomb! Definitely recommend trying it out

Great starter kid but need a few additional items

This kit is fab for starting off. You can prep your nails with the nail file and glue the tips on (clear ones are fab but the white ones are hookish i dont like them. You then realistically need to use a primer which is not included. You also need a dappen dish for the acrylic liquid which you dip the brush in to form the acrylic ball. The brush in the kit is quite poor but manageable. Afterwards file again and i then usually do a gel polish over the top. its great as in the UK you dont seem to be able to purchase acrylic liquid instore without a trade card. Nails usually last a couple of weeks and I really enjoy doing them.

Quick fix for a broken nail

I do nail art on my natural nails, which I grow quite long. So when I break a nail on my picture hand it’s like my life is over- I have to put nail art on pause for like a month when the nail grows out or file them all down to a short length to match. So when I broke my nail to the nub I was furious. But then I remembered the Jenna Marbles video where she does acrylic nails with ramen noodles that I watched the day before. And I’m like heck, if Jenna can do a half decent job with ramen noodles, then maybe I can save this nail. So I found this set at Walmart for $15 CAD. Works very well and the instructions are mostly clear. You may want a better buffer from Sally Beauty though, and maybe a good base coat. I watched a few tutorials before I began and did a fairly decent job on my first go. There’s no instructions on how to clean the brush though! I Googled it and ended up just letting it soak in acetone for awhile. Also, the bonding liquid REEKS. Oh boy, crack a window, turn on some fans, and light a candle. To be honest, I couldn’t smell it after 10 minutes but my fiancé freaked out and started febreezing the whole house and started lighting my candles because he hated it so much. If you’re used to going to the salon you’ll already be used to the smell though.
