I was really torn between rating these 3 or 4, so in the end I decided on 3.5.

These are very cute and small and have a surprising variety of uses, from weddings to bake sales and many more. However, if you're a stickler for details, I definitely wouldn't recommend them. From a distance they look great and will impress, but up close, you can really see the quality is on the lower end.

Several of my boards came with visible scratches on the paint and the wood itself. The wood is very flimsy and lightweight and won't last through a lot of use, especially if it's being used outdoors or being rewritten a lot. The wood is unsanded and very grainy and splintery, so be careful not to get a splinter. There was also some patches of missing chalkboard paint (small dots were the wood can be seen through, which again, might not bother some people, but if you're a detail person it's something to keep in mind.

I'm torn, because they do look cute, but I just wish the quality was a little higher and that the chalk was included.
