Don't Waste Your Money!

I picked up the KNORR ONE SKILLET MEALS IN MEDITERRANEAN LEMON CHICKEN WITH BARLEY as it was on sale at the grocery store and I saw it as a product offer on Family Rated which intrigued me! I love the idea of a one skillet meal, especially on busy days. This one is pretty straightforward - dice the carrots, cook the chicken, throw it all together and wait 23 minutes.

23 minutes was not nearly enough time - I added an extra 5 but didn't wanna overcook it knowing it probably could have used a little longer. The recipe directions were super simple and it was very easy to make but my goodness was it bland. Upon smelling the barley mix in the bag I thought for sure it was going to be VERY lemony - I figured it would be too overpowering and I would not like the dish because of it. Turns out, the flavour cooks off and you are left with no flavour except the barley and whatever you seasoned your chicken with.

I found this on sale for $2.50 (regular price is closer to $5 a pack) and it was not even worth that. A bag of barley costs $1.50 at most and to spice It up yourself is just as good, if not better in my opinion. I was very disappointed and had high hopes as I have tried some of the other flavours in the Knorr Skillet line and they were delicious.

I would not recommend this to anyone nor would I purchase it again. Save your money and cook this meal from scratch!

Good stuff

I liked the Knorr One skillet meal - Mediterranean Lemon Chicken with Barley. It makes it easy to make a meal with a headstart. The flavor is tangy but not too much. I would recommend this to anyone that has a taste for Lemon chicken

I got to try these knorr side dishes for free from chickadvisor and I loved them. The taste was delicious and great quality I expected from this product. Even my kids liked this one which is a bonus!

J'a été contente d'avoir ce produit gratuitement malheureusement je n'aime pas le goût(ça goûté le vomit) ça ne sent pas bon,l'orge est trop longue à cuire .

Ça ne vaut pas la peine

Tant qu'à devoir acheter, préparer et ajouter les ingrédients, je ne vois pas d'avantage.
Je préfère simplement acheter l'ingrédient principal (dans ce cas précis, l'orge), et ajouter des épices à mon goût.
La cuisson n'est pas plus rapide parce que ça vient dans un sachet!
Le goût est bien ordinaire. La cuisson était correct, mais il n'est pas difficile de réussir de l'orge...

Quand je me suis inscrite pour tester ce produit je croyais que tout les ingrédients seraient déjà dans le sachet, ce qui a été ma déception en recevant le produit. Par contre, quand j'ai ajouter le poulet, les épinards et les carottes wow qu'elle surprise ce plat est rapide et pleins de goûts.

Unexpectedly super tasty

I didn't expect this product to be that tasty and I was super surprised. I followed the preparation instructions to the letter. It only took 25 mns to be ready and the taste was amazing. Hubby and the kids also approved, so we will be definitely be buying again

This was a very quick put together meal. Portion sizes of 4 is a little small in my opinion. Could have more bolder flavors but overall was quite nice.

Easy pantry meal to keep on hand!

I made this last night for dinner and used the left over chicken from the night before and it was great! It was a great meal with lots of flavour . I like that it was quick and budget friendly! My hubby and I both agree that next time we will cook two packages or a side to go with it as it wasn't quite enough for us.We are looking forward to trying the other flavors.
