too complicated
I thought this was supposed to be a side dish, but when i had a look at it, the KNORR ONE SKILLET MEALS IN MOROCCAN CHICKEN WITH BARLEY was more work that it was worth. When I look for a skillet meal, I expect pretty close to a complete meal in a bag, maybe with the need to add meat. I would not bother with this one again.
Not worth the effort
If I am buying a packaged meal it is cause I want the convenience of it. with this dish I had to buy the chicken cauliflower and carrots and prep those for the dish. with all the effort required I could make something better from scratch.
One skillet meal ?
When I saw the Knorr “one skillet meals” I was thrilled, anything that could make meal time smoother and with less clean up that’s a win for me.
However I must have a different option of what a “one skillet meal” is. I was thinking yes you cook everything in one skillet. But I also assumed the package was more of a meal. Not the small print in the bottom corner “meal starter”. This package was one item, then you buy the other 5 plus items and add them to the skillet. No time saved for me.
I was able to try the Knorr One Skillet meals- Moroccan Chicken with Barley for free thanks to chick advisor and family rated club. #knorr
Something different and unique!
The instructions were easy to follow and helped you to create a one dish meal with some other ingredients. The only downfall is that most people don't have the other ingredients recommended on hand. The combination of ingredients sounded odd but actually went well together. More steps needed than I would have liked for a one skillet meal but overall still a nice quick meal prep idea. I received this product for testing and review purposes. All opinions noted are my own. #ChickAdvisor #Familyrated #gotitfree
Once Was Enough
I was fortunate to have been chosen to try this product from Family Rated. This being said, it was not a hit in our household. I made it as directed on the package, adding chicken, carrots, broccoli(instead of cauliflower) & raisins. I thought it was OK, but hubby doesn't want to see it again. In his opinion barley belongs in soup & raisins for baking.
Not bad, but not Fabulous
I received this for free from Family Rated to try and review. I have to say that I was super excited to try Knorr products. (I received two others and have reviewed them on this site as well.) Anyways, it was a bit of a let down.
They were quick and easy to make, as always!
Tasty enough for a easy side dish.
However, I was expecting something different. I'm not sure what exactly, but this wasn't it.
Would I recommend it? Yes.
But would I buy it for myself. No, probably not. I'd rather make my own side dish or choose another Knorr Sidekick in place of this.
We were not fans
I made this for my family and none of us would eat it. The kids sound the taste to be overpowering and I thought it was just terrible. ended up in the green bin.
Not My Favourite Meal
I received this product free in exchange for an honest review.
My family was not a huge fan of this meal. Although it was better than the other two Knorr Select meals we were given to try. I found that it really lacked flavour. I don't think I would purchase.
Where’s the Convenience?
@KnorrCanada @FamilyRated @Knorr #familyratedclub #tryknorr #gotitfree
I received Knorr One Skillet Meals Moroccan Chicken with Barley free in return for this review. You need to add flour, olive oil, chicken, and raisins in order to cook this product and 15 minutes to prep (took longer) & 28 minutes to cook ( took longer), I can cook a fresh, nourishing, tasty meal minus all the sodium in less time. We liked the taste, but where’s the convenience? You’re actually paying for only spices & barley, not so economical either. I don’t think it’s worth buying unless you’re a novice cook. For all these reasons I wouldn’t buy it again nor woul I recommend it.
One Skillet Easy Meal
I was given the opportunity to try Knorr One Skillet Meals - Moroccan Chicken with Barley through ChickAdvisor free for my review/opinion. I found this to take too long, it has many steps. This made a good amount and the taste was decent. The fresh parts, chicken, carrots and cauliflower really were the best part. I excluded raisins as I don't care for them. I don't know if I would have a need for making such a meal but I'm sure this would work for many families on the go. Thank you for this opportunity to try @ChickAdvisors @FamilyRated @Knorr #familyratedclub #tryknorr #gotitfree
