90% OF CHICKS DIG IT
Under the weather saviour!
When myself or one of my family members are feeling a bit under the weather, this is my go to soup to help us jump back to our selfs ASAP! With lots of flavour, we all enjoy the savoury goodness!
Makes a fantastic dip!
I’ve never actually made this as a soup.. I always use it mixed in a tub of sour cream as a veggie or chip dip! Dump, stir, chill and serve! It’s best if it’s left overnight to chill and soften a bit. The onion bits can be a little hard otherwise. SO tasty, and a pretty low cal dip compared to a lot of others.
I use this soup mix for everything but soup.
They are fantastic mixed in beef to make hamburgers, as a base for cooking a roast, and my family loves when I mix a pack in with sour cream for an onion chip dip. These are full of dried onion pieces and full of spiced dry flavor mix.
There are plenty of uses, I am just discovering more over the last week, I plan to purchase a few more as it's nice to have some extra on hand for dips and sauces. These are incredibly cheap, I think I bought them for a $1 the last time.
Not a fan of this products taste. I not use it as a soup but rather an accent to dips and as a seasoning to different meals. It's a good price but not my family's taste preference.
This onion soup mix is okay as an additive to stews or other recipes where it can be diluted - unfortunately the sodium content is WAY too high for my liking (I barely cook with it and eat a lot of whole foods) - at more than 30% of my daily limit.
The noodles mean I can't use it for my usual onion dip, but it does make a good addition to homemade vegetable or chicken noodle soup, as it has a lot of flavour and aroma. Diluted means the sodium is transferred amongst a MUCH larger portion of soup.
I don't feel we would get this again, as it doesn't meet our familys needs.
This product is always good to have in the pantry. It's got lot of uses. I have used it for hamburgers. I packet is good for 2lbs of ground beef. Also a good mix for dips. I have also used it for flavored rice. Mix a packet to 3 cups of rice and there you go.. you'll have flavored rice in no time. I also love adding this to my beef barley soup.
The flavor is great and almost makes any dish delightful.
Price is very reasonable as well. They do go on sale from time to time and I love the brand Knorr. I've known this brand for years and they do make good products.
We always have a few boxes of these on hand at home, it has so many great uses
we use it to make all different types of dips, mainly in ones when were serving chips or veggies, super easy to just mix a package of it into a sour cream container and mix it up, maybe add some spices of your own, it also goes very well in hamburgers when im making them at home
another trick i recently learnt was how to use it while making gravy nice and quickly
I use onion soup mix in a variety of recipes from dips to meatloaf. It adds great flavour to whatever I'm making and it is so easy to use, I'm also a fan of Cream of Leek as it is a bit milder and less salty. Either way I'm buying it.
Super bon goût !!! J'en met dans mes recettes dans les trempettes pour les crudités et en soupe . Super bon et tout le monde aime chez moi, bonne saveur.
I enjoy many products from Knorr, it is a well known, trusted brand that I have seen in the kitchen cupboards since I was a little kid.
This one in particular, the Onion Soup Mix, I use for dips and making hamburger patties and as a soup base (not just the soup on its own). For dip, just 1 500 ml container of sour cream and 1 package of soup mix and voila excellent dip. You can also add fresh parsley on top (for both taste and looks) or dill is a big favorite of mine to add. The parsely is good because it cleans the palette and tones down the onion breath after eating.
For super juicy hamburgers, add 1 packet to about 1 to 2 lbs of ground beef and voila again, nothing else needed. They are fantastic!
It is a great price, and available at every market or grocery store I have ever been in and there is anywhere from a box with 2 packs to 4 packs. Excellent to always have in the pantry. Oh, and it contains no msg !
