Very Flavourful

This is perfect for a quick side to a quick meal! In only 10 minutes we had a flavourful rice dish to go with the rest of our meal. While it was simmering, the roasted garlic smell was super strong, but once I tasted it, the garlic was pretty mellow. The rice was firm, but soft and it was really creamy. If you’re a fan of garlic, you’ll definitely like this!

Super quick, whole family loves it!

This rice was sooooooo easy to make, my 4 year old was tasked with the job and completed easily and with no help! With that being said, I wasn't expecting the flavour and consistency to be that of a rice that I had spent hours cooking, mixing and baking, which is how I typically will make a rice with this flavour. Boy was I wrong ! This was seasoned beautifully, not overpowering, not artificial tasting , and the rice was a nice al dente, not soggy, like previous quick rice we have tried. Myself and my husband were impressed, plus my 7,4,&1;year old ! Everyone was asking for more lol!! Nice job knorr! Happy to find something not laden with chemicals that's quick and everyone loves ! Roasted Garlic Deliciousness!

I was chosen to try KNORR SELECTS ROASTED GARLIC ALFREDO from Family Rated in exchange for my honest opinion... and honestly, it was AMAZING! Alfredo & garlic are two of my absolute favourite things but they are usually eaten with pasta, not rice. I was so excited to try this fun little twist and it did not disappoint!

I love simple side dishes and Knorr makes some incredible and flavorful "sidekicks" that are great when you're in a pinch! The Knorr selects line is something that i haven't tried before but each and every flavour sounds incredible. No artificial flavors or preservatives and they are safe for my vegetarian and gluten free friends! The ingredient list contains 9 items (minus natural flavours) and the only one I didn't know was Sodium Phosphate. So naturally, I googled it! Turns out it is used as an emulsifier, thickening agent and helps control the PH of some processed foods. Makes sense.

The directions were super easy to follow and the rice is made very quickly compared to other sidekick and rice dishes. It was literally made in 15 minutes. Add your package contents, water, milk and butter to the pan. Boil, turn down heat, stir stir stir, let sit and enjoy! The stirring made it seem like I was making a risotto and the creamy consistency did not disappoint! I read some of the reviews before making it and many people complained that it was too garlicky. As a Ukrainian and garlic lover, I was always told there is NO such thing as too much garlic! This definitely dances on the border lol. For me, it was perfect. For my husband and dad, this was exceptional! For the kids, it was good! They did find it a little to overpowering. You can actually see the little bits of roasted garlic chunks in the rice and sauce. YUM!

Overall this dish was absolutely amazing! It was simple and easy to make with minimal ingredients, it tasted so so sooo yummy, and it only costs about $2.29 in my local grocery store! I love that they include the website and recipe ideas on the back and I will be trying the Lemon Basil Chicken Alfredo recipe on their website! They have a few other flavours like Asiago and Black Pepper that I will also be getting my hands on. Another amazing product by Knorr and one that is going to surely be a staple in my household!

The Perfect Side Dish

I had the pleasure of trying the Knorr Select Roasted Garlic Alfredo Rice. #gotitfree I loved how easy it was to make and that it only took minutes. It's creamy and might I add oh so garlicy! This is great because in my family, the more garlic the better. It was light and didn't turn into a sticky glob when it was done so that was fantastic to see. Although we used it as a side dish, it could be used as a base for a complete meal. I found that with only one package to use, there wasn't enough for everyone to sample it. Between hubby and I, we pretty much ate it all. Then again, we love our rice. We will definitely be looking for this on the store shelves and purchasing. #tryknorr

A family favourite in our home!

This rice mixture is a family favourite in my house. It's fast to make and great when I’m in a hurry. Love that I just need to add water and butter, bring to a boil and cook 7 minutes. I like to turn the burner off a couple minutes early so the mixture stays a little juicier. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes flavored rice and is looking for something quick and tasty! #gotitfree

Belle texture mais goût chimique.

J'adore tout ce qui est "Alfredo" habituellement. Toutefois, ce produit n'a vraiment pas fait l'unanimité dans mon foyer.jai reçu ce produit gratuitement #gotitfree. Nous étions tous d'accord pour dire que la texture était bien, toutefois ce sont les saveurs qui laissaient à désirer. Le goût "chimique" a pris le dessus sur toutes les autres saveurs, et personne n'a fini son assiette. C'était un non pour nous !

assez ordinaire et trop chimique faudrai revoir le produit et le mettre plutôt en sauce il en serai meilleur et plus simple à cuire que de devoir cuire les pâtes avec la poudre qui fini toujours par coller au fond du chaudron

Tasty Rice Side Dish for the Garlic Lovers in the Family!

The first thing I noticed about the Knorr Selects Roasted Garlic Alfredo side was the ingredients list - it's SUPER minimal. I do use a lot of packaged side dishes and quite often the ingredients list makes me feel a bit guilty because it's long, and contains a lot of preservatives and things of that nature. This was all natural, simple ingredients. It was really refreshing to see on a packaged side.

The preparation was a little different than other packaged rice dishes. It's boiled in milk and butter without the lid on and thickens as it cooks. With other rice sides I almost always end up with either too much liquid or the rice sticks to the bottom so being able to stir as it cooked was nice. I smelled the garlic right away and you can see the little pieces in the mix - which is awesome for a garlic lovers such as myself!

Once cooked this is almost more of a risotto. It's very creamy and gooey in a good way. The cheesy taste and consistency was very impressive and not at all like a typical rice side. It was very rich and while the rice was soft I didn't find it mushy at all. It was the perfect accompaniment to our grilled sirloin and asparagus dinner. I'll definitely be looking for these at the grocery store and stocking up during sales!
