Kinda mushy

I love side dishes. Smelled great when cooking. Let it sit for 5 min before dinner and the rice stayed mushy. The flavour was pretty good but I would prefer to add chicken or something to it to make it more like a meal.

A Quick, Tasty Dinner Option

We don't often include rice in our family dinner, but when we do it tends to be plain brown or wild rice with some stock or spices added.

I usually stay away from packaged products, due to the typical lengthy ingredients list of unpronouncable names. I was pelasantly surprised to read the Knorr Selects package, seeing that it it made with real food ingredients, and is preservative/artifical flavouring free. It is also gluten free if that is an issue in your home.

The rice was so simple to make, and was done in ten minutes. I added some diced bell peppers, and served it with some vegetables and hummus. My daughter loved it, and it made great leftovers for lunch the next day.

The flavouring was appealing, though it would be nicely complimented with a seasoned protein as the roasted garlic flavour is mild. I'm going to pick up a few other flavours from the line to see if there are other options we would like more.

Overall, Knorr Selects are a great option to keep in the pantry for quick dinners. You can feel good about the ingredients, and the price is great as well!

Perfect Blend

We received the Ricotta Garlic Alfredo Rice, its a perfect blend all the way around.
Great for eating alone or as a side dish. I added a bit of parsely on top, the kids enjoyed it with no complains. Its much healthier, so easy to make on these busy nights. Highly recommend it!

Creamy Taste, Great flavours

I received the Roasted Garlic Alfredo Rice Free from Knorr and Family Rated too test and review.

This side dish was very simple too prepare. They suggested too mix 1 cup of milk with the rice and some butter. I decided that I wanted just too use 1/2 cup of milk and the other half water. This way calories are greatly reduced and we also don't use much milk in our household. I found that it tasted great. With the reduction of milk it did not compromise the taste and the flavours. We had added some chicken and peas too this rice after it was cooked too make it more into a meal. That combination was very tasty. I was able too taste the alfredo in the rice and I liked the spices that were added too the contents. It took me 15 minutes too fully cooked the rice and within 20 minutes I was eating.I did not need too add pepper or any salt too this dish as it didn't require any.

I will be purchasing this again in the future as this was very simple and easy too make. #Gotitfree

Yummy and wholesome

I really loved how easy this product was to use. It's great for busy days or anytime. The plus is that it has zero preservatives and artificial flavours.

I added some veggies to mine as the rice cooked. When the rice was finished cooking I added in some cooked chicken I sautéed in a pan for a quick, complete meal.

The rice was garlicky, cheesy and creamy and tasted amazing. The rice held its texture and was not mushy. My entire family enjoyed this and loved the taste.

I will definitely be buying this in the future and recommend it to anyone looking for a quick, wholesome, and tasty side dish that can be easily turned into a complete meal.

Going to be buying this again!

J'ai reçu ce produit pour en faire l'essai. Je l'ai servi en accompagnement de poisson et ce fut un excellent mariage. Un peu salé mais somme toute c'est un plat de riz qui se fait rappidement, n'est pas compliqué et savoureux. Je vais certainement surveiller les soldes pour m'en procurer d'autre. C'est le genre de mets d'accompagnement très pratique pour les soirs de semaine ou pour le camping.

I love to cook meals everyone can enjoy but it is hard when my daughter is a vegetarian. This meal is vegetarian approved, quick and easy to prepare . I had dinner ready in record time. The sauce was creamy with the right amount of garlic, so very flavorful! I tossed in a few tender snow peas (stir fried in olive oil) after removing from stove. A delicious quick meal that we pared with a light salad topped with simple herb, oil & vinegar dressing. I will buy this flavor again & recommend it to my friends we really enjoyed it!

Knorr Roasted Garlic Alfredo Rice

We loved the Knorr Roasted Garlic Alfredo Rice. I got it free in exchange for my honest review.
I like the list of ingredients, it's a simple list with ingredients that are recognizable. I decided to make the Lemon Basil Chicken Alfredo. It was easy to find the recipe on www.knorr.ca The web address is right on the package. To my delight I discover so many recipe on the website that I will be trying in the near feature.
The recipe was easy to follow. It took me about 35 minutes from start to finish to create this delicious dish. The rice texture was perfect, the seasoning was just about right maybe a bit to much of garlic , not an issue for us as we are garlic lovers.
I will be buying this product again and will recommend to my friends, it's a great value.

Simple, quick, and flavourful side dish

Knorr Selects Roasted Garlic Alfredo Rice is a side dish that is purchased dried in a sachet. Its price point is quite similar to other similar dried sachet side dishes (often of the noodle variety). It requires the following to prepare: a stove top, a saucepan with stirrer (wooden spoon for example), measuring cup, 375 ml water, 250 ml milk and 30 ml unsalted butter. The preparation is no more complicated than preparing macaroni and cheese. The instructions claim 'cooks in 10 minutes' but factoring thickening time and prep time, you're looking at closer to 20 minutes overall, which is not a tremendous amount of time all things considered. Following the instructions as listed on the pouch prepared the side dish to the intended consistency. The rice grains were sticky yet firm enough to not be considered 'mushy'. The end product had a rich, creamy taste, with ample flavour (including both alfredo sauce and roasted garlic). This taste was present throughout and was distributed evenly throughout the dish's consumption, from start to finish. The sauce was thick enough to hold in the heat deep within the rice, to the point where it was more palatable to scoop up rice from the top layer rather than dig deep down to fork rice from deeper in the dish (this method of only eating rice from the top layer ensured that the consumption temperature was enjoyable throughout the meal). For those who prefer a milder taste, perhaps Knorr Selects Roasted Garlic Alfredo Rice would be too rich and too powerful a taste for your palate, however myself, loving both alfredo sauce and roasted garlic, enjoyed the side dish very much.
