Love Berbere!

I received this spice as a promo to review it and I have used Berbere before in other cooking and absolutely love it. It's also a huge hit with the kids. If you like flavourful but not necessarily spicy, try this!

To add more spice, just add a bit more of the spice blend. We made the chick pea recipe in the back and it was really good. Would highly recommend for those adventurous cooks!

Interesting to try

I received the Knorr Taste of Ethiopia Berbere Seasoning Blend for free to try. #gotitfree. I was not familiar with using so so I used the recipe on the back of the packaging for Ethiopian Lentil and Chickpea Stew and it was okay. I think that those that enjoy spices would enjoy this blend in their food for cooking. I would recommend however I think I would make a dish with meat next time.

Quite a kick of flavor

This seasoning blend is a great mix of flavors. Although it is a little spicy for my tastes it definitely smells great. The cinnamon works well. A little goes a long way. Can be used to season a variety of dishes. I made chicken and rice with mine and it was great other then the spiciness. Next time maybe I will use less seasoning.

An easy way to mix up your routine

I am what some people call... a food lover. A foodie if you will and I like to try new things. I've had Ethiopian food in the past so I was really looking forward to trying out this product. I quite liked.

I can be adventurous when it comes to food so I'm not afraid of strong spices, but in this product, the flavours blend so nicely together and nothing is too overpowering. I also love that there is no added salt of preservatives. Sometimes this packaged spice blends can be way too salty, but I did not experience that with this blend.

I tried it with a fish, lentil and chickpea dish, but I feel like it would also work well with chicken or beef.

If you looking for a great way to mix up dinner time and try something new, I would suggest that you try this product. It's great for picky eaters as none of the flavours are overpowering. There are no added preservatives and the ingredients are 100% natural.

Adult taste

I recieved this product free and I really enjoyed it. My family not as much but they are a little less adventurous than I am when it comes to food. I would buy again if I was cooking for a adult group or myself.

Great for a quick fix!

These spices were great for a quick fix for a meal. I had all the other ingredients in house on a busy night and gave them a whirl! They aren't the quality you'd buy direct at a spice house but they sure do hit the spot. Yum! I'll buy again to have in the house for a quick fix meal.

Beautiful spice blend just not for me

I was so excited to receive this spice blend to try for free. I love to cook and especially cook with new flavours. I unfortunately found the spice blend too much for my personal preference but my husband really enjoyed it. I will use the spice blend again for certain dishes for my husband.

Convenient

I was given the opportunity to try this product free from Family Rated and Knorr. It was my first time trying a spice blend like this one. I tried making the Lentil and Chickpea Stew recipe that was on the back on the package. I did however reduce the amount of the seasoning blend for the first time for my family. It was a little spicy for my children and husband, but I rather enjoyed it. I really like that Knorr has made these seasoning mixes making it simple and easy to make meals without having to measure out a bunch of spices from different containers.

Un goût assez unique

J'ai été sélectionnée par Family Rated pour essayer gratuitement le mélange d'épices Knorr Ethiopie Berbère. J'ai trouvé le goût assez spécial, mais cela ne m'a pas déplu. J'ai ajouté un peu de ces épices à un sauté au poulet et riz, et cela se marie bien. Par contre, il ne faut pas en mettre beaucoup parce que c'est très intense!

Taste of Ethiopia

I tried this product for the first time the other day .I used the Berbere spice in a dip .I mixed 1 tsp of spice with a bit of sour cream and cut up some peppers and made a yummy dip.
