100% OF CHICKS DIG IT
I own a version of the konad system, it works alright. Not so bad. I only paid 3 dollars for this, it's fine.
What do you think, have you tried it?
Great stamping polish. This dries on the stamper pretty quickly, so you have to move fast. Other than that, I have not had a problem. I recommend Konad stampers and stamping polish to all stamping newbies. It really is the best one to use.
I bought this starter kit at the Canadian National Exhibition a few years age and every year I add to my collection. No matter what the occasion there is a differnet disc pattern that covers it, from elegant to just plain fun. There are many different colours of polish and glazes to use.
You can also buy it online at http://www.nailpolishcanada.com
I love my nail artwork !
I am obsessed with nail polish and I do nail art on a weekly basis. I started using brushes but that was very time-consuming. When I am short on time, I usually resort to using these nail stamps. There are multiple plates with varying designs you can choose from. My personal favourites are the pattern designs which can cover your whole nail.
It takes a few tries to get the hang of using the stamps but once you've had practice, it becomes very easy to use (definitely a lot easier to use than brushes) and it saves you a lot of time since you don't have to draw the design yourself. Unlike stickers which don't last too long and often pop up even with a top coat over it, these designs are imprinted on your nails. With a top coat, the design stays on your nails for as long as your nail polish stays on. Also, if you make a mistake, you can easily remove the design using Q-tip soaked with nail polish remover without ruining the nail polish under it. It's easy to clean up the plates, stamper, and scraper (a lot faster and easier than cleaning brushes). Just wipe them using a cotton pad/ cotton ball soaked with nail polish remover and it's good for the next use.
They come with nail polish which are typically thicker and more vibrant than regular nail polish but I found that most other nail polishes work just as well. It is on the pricier end and I did have to order it online but it was completely worth it. I've been loving this product since the first time I used it. I recommend this to all nail polish/nail art junkies. I am looking at purchasing more design plates soon because these are just so easy and fun to use.
I purchased the kit in 2009 and love it, I have expanded with more plates and am looking forward to buying more. If you look in my pics you will see two examples of the beautiful nail art I have done with these plates, it takes a little bit of practice to get the hang of it. Once you do you are only limited by your imagination.
I received my KONAD set as a gift and am totally in LOVE with it. I've been searching and adding plates to my collection ever since. It takes a bit of practice, but if you have the patience you will get amazing results. I always get compliments on my nails. You don't have to use the konad polishes if you want to save money, I've watched numerous youtube videos and read blogs about which brands of 'other' nail polishes work best. Totally work it!
create fun, original, creative nails with konad nail stamping kit.
oh the day i discovered konad! what an amazing find!!! i have not stopped creating different designs since my first plate purchase!
They have many different plates that you can purchase that has different pictures and designs.
Its SO easy to use, heres what you need: stamping plate, polish (konad polish is the best, but a thick regular polish also works), rubber stamp, and a scraper (i like to use a credit card or old library card so i dont scratch the plate).
put a drop of polish on the image portion of the plate, spread it around to cover the image, scrape off the excess and use the rubber stamper to roll over the image. you will see your image on the rubber stamp now! just roll it over your nail and TA DA!! a beautiful design on your nail.
I put the price for the starter kit that I bought, but individual pieces are generally around $12. What is this? Well, basically it's a home manicure set in which you can put funky designs on your own finger nails for a fraction of the price that a salon would do. Yes, it takes a bit of practice and I wouldn't recommend it to a perfectionist, but I have had immense satisfaction using if for the last 2 years. I've got quite a collection now and am always complimented on my "art"!
