We pick up this brush for my Bassett hound beagle that has very corse hair and are shiz pug that has long hair.
I tried it on both dogs it works amazing on my Bassett to remove all the hair you don't get using a normal dog brush but for the peek shiz pug with long hair I found it didn't work that get it didn't really brush the hair it it
Didn't seem firm or strong for her hair.

I would recommend for longer hair breeds but for short hair dogs I'd recommend it.
