This is a fairly good lip balm. I've been looking for a tinted lip balm for a while and found this one at Sephora for about $14. It's definitely a bit pricey for the product, but it is a nice lip balm. The colors are nicely visible, which isn't always the case with tinted lip balms, and it goes on nicely. My only problem with it is that the color does not last as long as I'd like it too. I'm constantly reapplying it and it washes away after a few sips from my water bottle.
I have this in Mango right now and I currently have all the other colors on the way! It is sheer in color but it applies evenly and leaves a slight sheen without being sticky. It was more pigmented then expected because some reviews state the color is very sheer but I find Burt's Bees tinted balms to be more sheer (as a comparison). These lip butters are also very moisturizing and they taste slighty fruity and smell exactly like the fruit they say they are. The cost of buying these separately is pretty steep so if you can get the set of 3 from Sephora or The Shopping Channel it is a way better deal.
The only con to this product is that it is in a pot. I'm usually not bothered getting my fingers a bit messy but applying this on the go is a bit annoying because you have to wipe your finger off.
Korres Lip Butters are so rich and moisturizing. They leave a soft shine and have good lasting power. I have them in 5 different colors/scents in the jar version (they now make them in tubes but I heard they are not as good) and all of them are great. The Guava one is clear but if you use too much it casts a while film on your lips, the Plum one is a deep berry color, Jasmine doesn't smell like jasmine, more like vanilla taffy and it is a pale pink-nude, the Pomegranate one has a coral tint and the Mango one smells amazing, it leaves a peachy tint and is my favorite. They sometimes smell like the name, mango smells like mango, but I feel that most of them smell like vanilla taffy. The scent is not overwhelming though and I only notice it while I put it on. The texture is rich but at the same time light weight, very emollient. The jar is a hassle compared to a tube but I carry around a covered lip brush with me so I don't have to use my fingers.
My first lip butter was in Jasmine, but I've since picked up Guava, Mango, and Pomegranate. Which should tell you that I absolutely love these lip butters.
It's a very rich, moisturizing formula that can be worn on it's own or under your lipstick or gloss of choice. I don't need to use much at all, though I find if you put too much of the lighter colours on they can look a bit too pale (for my liking). There is a sheer tint to each of these that scale to their respective colour.. Guava is a pale yellow, whereas Jasmine is a pale pink and Mango is a hot coral. Each one is scented according to it's name, and I feel like the scents come across as very organic - unless some scents that are more artificial.
I find the price $13 (CAD) to be a bit high for a lip balm, but they're often sold in sets of three or as a part of value kits - which makes them easily affordable.
I am in love with the Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine. It is the best lip balm I have ever tried. My lips have never felt so moisturized before using this and I feel it is definitely worth every penny. I apply this mostly at night and I wake up to the softest lips ever!
The jasmine scent is so delicious, it reminds me of buttery candy, I could almost eat it! When you apply it to your lips, you get a sheer tint, sort of like your lip color, but better. The balm is not sticky at all, which I like. Instead it feels almost like silk on the lips. I also love that it contains natural ingredients.
The only thing I wish Korres would do is to create this balm in a stick form, so that we don't need to stick our fingers in the product, which introduces more bacteria to it. I've been using a lip brush to use this because otherwise, it will get stuck under my fingernails.
I would definitely repurchase this and look forward to trying other colors/flavors as well.
I have this in jasmine, and I'm totally addicted and want them all. These feel amazing on my lips. So soft and not greasy at all. They are worth the money. I always have one in my purse.
I kept hearing about Korres Lip Butters from the girls on Makeup Alley, as well as TiffanyD mentioned it in a few of her YouTube videos. Instead of getting one or two with my Sephora Gift Card, I decided to wait it out. I mean, I was in love with my Cococare Cocoa Butter Lip Balm!
Back in November I had a crappy experience at my local Sephora, so I wrote to the company about my experience. The district manager was kind enough to write me offering a free gift (which I never received, but that’s not a biggie) and a complimentary consultation. I’m not sure if the consultations are generally “complimentary” or not, but I figured I’d give it a go. Since this was right before the holidays, I decided to wait until after Christmas since I knew I had to go in for my birthday gift anyway… Which they were out of, so I’ll have to call the store back on this one. Anywho! The manager offered for me to come in this past weekend since a lady with Korres was in doing the consultations.
Sahra with Korres was wonderful! I didn’t need much help as far as cosmetics since I already know quite a bit and am happy with what I currently use. She did help me with her own hints on doing the cat eye/winged liner, which I still need to try out. I decided I’d finally try the highly praised Lip Butter, and was HOOKED instantly! I ended up purchasing one in Jasmine because the smell is just divine! The only one I didn’t care for smell wise was Guava… I’m not sure how to describe the smell, but it wasn’t pleasant to me. I think I’d have to get Pomegranate or Plum next… Maybe Quince…
My lips are insanely soft from using the Korres Lip Butter! I apply it at night before bed, and still wake up with soft lips! I keep it in the bathroom, so I apply it whenever I go in there as well. Since Jasmine isn’t a very dark balm, and I do have pretty pigmented lips, I don’t get much color from my Lip Butter, but that’s just fine. Also, I generally prefer a tubed lip balm (even if it’s a squeeze tube), so that’s my only real “issue” with this product. However, I will most definitely be buying more of these. I’m thinking relatively soon too so I have one for my desk at work!
I have the pomegranite and I agree with everything said before. Also, it is all natural and you can use it on your cheeks too, it makes a great combo. I definitely recommend it!
The following is a Lip Stain that is moisturizing. I have a new love. It's Korres Lip Butter. It's FABULOUS. I have two shades: Plum and Pomegranate. Both are TO DIE FOR. Let's see if I can explain this. The color is never too dark or too light, you can put on a buttload of it if you want to, (and you probably will because it smells yummy and TASTES tart and fruity, but don't eat the stuff.) and it won't look thick and fake. It isn't super glossy, but the color does give your lips a stain that lasts a good long while. I don't know exactly how long "a good long while" is, but it's a pretty good long time. Let's just say it's longer than Scarlett O'Hara got from biting her lips. Calling it a "butter" is a pretty good description. It's thick and smooth and feels very hydrating. I adore it. It's 9 bucks a little pot, and it lasts, so it's a bargain, as well. (I never thought I'd see the day that I thought 9 bucks was a bargain for lip gloss...)
