I love the colours in this palette! I wish the light shades were a bit more shimmery so that it was more of a highlighter, but it works very well under the eye to set your concealer!
I received this item for the Christmas past and I haven't used any other contour palette since! I absolutely love that is contains three shades in the light and dark colors, so lots of variety! Another feature is that when you run out of one color in it, you won't have to repurchase the entire palette, you are able to replace a color individually!
This is my first full contour palette. While the colour range is good I have very fair skin and I am finding I can really only use the lightest colours. The colour builds very well which I like. The price for me is a huge disappointment and quality wise the size of the product that I am able to use vs. the overall packaging size and use I am getting, I doubt I will repurchase. I think the new "refillable" one might have made more sense for my needs however, it costs even more and I would have still ended up with colours I cannot use.
This is a nice palette however I'm not sure it is worth the money. This is the first contour palette that I purchased and overall I am satisfied with the pigmentation and quality of the powders however I don't find myself often reaching for this powder. I don't heavily contour my face so I tend to use more of a lighter bronzer. I would recommend this if you're looking for a sharp contour and would use it often. Based on my usage of this, I won't be repurchasing.
This was one of the first makeup product i got from sephora and it's just so good and feels quite creamy. I always use the middle highlight shade to set my undereye concealer and it brightens up and makes me look so awake. The first and middle shade are great for when i want to contour, the colours doesn't show up really harsh and thats what you want in a contour powder and i could even get away with bronzing up the skin using the middle shade since it doesn't have too much of a gray tone to it. I always use the middle shade in my crease and it also acts as a great eyeshadow. The only downfalls are that they are quite powdery so before applying it to your face just tap the brush a little. Also i really don't enjoy the packaging because it's just not that sturdy and travel friendly.
The different with the Anastasia of Beverly Hills Contour Palette- it can be hard to find the perfect combination for your skin (do you go with the light? medium? what if you're in between? what if one day I'm pale, and the next day I get a fake tan? then what?). Instead, with a product like this, you can be a couple different shades and still look flattering. I recommend you dust off your brush- it is better to build up than it is to take off makeup and start again. Expect this palette to last you for years.
This is a decent palette the only issues I find is that there is quite a bit of fall out (as I find with most Kat Von D palettes) and it doesn't blend that well and looks slightly chalky if you layer the colors so you need to use a light hand. It is a matte colored palette and is for shading/highlighting/lowlighting
Although Kat VonD products seem to be a little on the pricey side, they definitely do deliver! All of the shadows are highly pigmented, and they compliment any skin tone/shade perfectly. I love that they are very buttery, and glide on very easy, and are easy to also blend on the lid, or underneath the lower lash line. Worth the splurge!
Great product if you contour on the regular. I find it difficult to use all of the colours - I usually only use the yellow powder to set my concealer and a contour powder. That being said, the quality of the powders is fantastic and worth the money.
I love, love, love this contour kit! I've been searching for a good one for a very long time and this was exactly what I was looking for. It's perfect.
