Firstly, the lipstick is stamped with her KVD initials and scented with a sweet creamy vanilla caramel flavor. The taste stays on the lips for a long time even though it dissipates during wear. I chose the shades Wonderchilde (iridescent orchid, same as the polish) Wolvesmouth (irridescent berry) and Lullabye (iridescent shimmering magenta violet). While they all have a gleam, Lullabye is the only one with actual glitter although the glitter is micro-fine. I also want to mention that Wolvesmouth isn't a bright berry but more like a deep berry/wine color. I love them all but Wonderchilde is my favorite! It has a gorgeous blue/violet shift effect. The formula here is moist yet not slick, I feel it could use more moisture but I guess with strong hold lipsticks they tend to be slightly drier because of the long wear. I'm glad I didn't buy any matte shades because those are probably drier and need to be worn with a lip primer or some type of balm underneath. The staying power is super! They last all day without bleeding and when the shimmer starts to dull your lips still have that nice stain look. The lipstick case is so sexy! It's a fat thick plastic studded case that captures the light with the way the pattern is designed all over. Love it! I usually don't get that excited about lipsticks but these are really amazing and less the cost than the designer brands found in a department store. They're definitely worth the splurge!

This is a very great quality lipstick and it will last you up to 10 hours before you have to reapply it. I love all the different colours it comes in , they are all super bold and fun! Leaves your lips feeling amazing.

This is one of my favorite shades from KVD. The color has a beautiful natural nude pink berry flesh look and the formula is creamy. Depending on which new formula the shade is in, it might be dry for the matte version. In that case a little gloss is needed to help with the issue,

Packaging for this lipstick is cute and edgy, and I have received a ton of compliments when I wear it - particularly in the colours Motorhead and Lovecraft. In general there's a wide array of shades to choose from, and different textures (sparkly, matte, etc.), so that's also a plus.

Staying power seems to be quite a bit better than a drugstore brand, and the drama of the dark pigments can be intense. I also don't find them particularly drying, which is a huge plus for me! I would buy additional colours to add to my collection, and have no problem referring them out to friends. Plus, if you wait until Christmas, there's usually a collection of deluxe minis in various colours released by KVD, so it's a good way to stock up on variety (runs about $45 for 12 minis).

Kat Von D studded lipstick in Lovecraft is my new go to lipstick for daily wear. It's a pretty neutral pink that is perfect for the conservative work environment. I apply it in the morning and get a full 8 hours wear. Because it's matte, it's better if I moisturize with balm the night before so my lips aren't dry when I apply it. I'll be buying several of these for back ups.

I love love looooove this lip stain! I was browsing around Sephora and walked by Kat Von D's new collection called Mi Vida Loca. The palette's are fresh and vibrant and I immediately began playing with the make up! I picked up the lip stains (come in 2 colours, vibrant red and hot pink) and tried the red! It glides on really easy and you don't need a lot to cover! Leaves a great matte look on the lips that lasts for hours! I went for fajitas later and still had the stain on despite cleaning my lips on the napkin a bunch of times! Great product!
