This hand cream is simply amazing!
I have tried many many creams before But this one tops them all.
This is not the cheapest one but i got the smaller size for 12$
The texture is very smooth. I must say he scent isn't amazing...It smells very clinical.
But we don't care right? as long as it works!
What is amazing is that you will not ever have that greasy feeling on your hands. It's just enough moisturizer.
I must also say that's its organic product made in France. And the ladies at the store were very knowledgeable
I have never tried their products until that day I went to pick it up my free sample hand cream.
Everything is a bit out of my price range but I guess that is what you pay for items made in France.
I used a coupon to purchase the full size C$30 hand cream because I fell in love with it.
My hands are super dry so applying once is not enough.
It smells great.
In the store they they had fantastic sales reps. They were so nice and very helpful.
L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream $30, Size : 150 ml
Overall Experience: very good , smooth hand cream
Ease of use - the lid for this tube is tiny, odd shape that it is difficult to put the cap back on. I recommend a flip top cap, or use a jar.
Texture - Very nice, just right texture, and really moisten a dry hand ( i hand wash my dishes and pots, and change diapers often)
Scent - mild scent, easy on the nose
Packaging:
Aluminum tube - no I do not like this one. Look at the picture, it looks like a disfigured doll.
For a Made in France product, this belongs to the hall of shame.
Changes to your skin:
smoothness- after i apply this, it definitely smooths the dry hands, re-apply often after hand washing
Moisture level - have to re-apply often when I like that level of smoothness, but so as with other products like Aveeno
Healthy appearance - yes, definitely healthy when your hands ain't flaking
Compare to other products you tried in the past?
This one is special - the texture is just right, not watery, not too hard.
This influences my usage since i don't want a watery lotion or one that i need sledge hammer to take it out.
Plus - it works!

Would you consider purchasing these products in the future and recommend to friends?
If you don't mind the crappy packaging, buy it. It works!
One of the best hand creams on the market!
Yes, it's pricey, but I love the smoothness and thickness of it. No dribbling and it applies quickly and lasts. Works well for the dry winter months or if you're required to do a lot of handwashing at work. It has a nice clean shea butter scent that does not overwhelm.
I tend to like the original shea butter version here, but L'Occitane has started to release some fragranced versions. Received a box of them at Christmas and haven't opened them yet, but I think that will be a nice variation if you'd like some scent.
The same friend who recommended the Rosebud Salve also recommended this hand cream. This is an amazing product! The other hand cream that I had listed Shea Butter as its 7th or so ingredient, while this lists Shea Butter as its second ingredient, as it is a whopping 20% of the contents. And it really shows! It is so soft and creamy, and not oily at all! It lasts a long time, and this mini size is perfect for travel!
Hands down this is the best hand cream ever. I have very dry hands during the winter and sometimes my ecema will flare up during the winter or the hot humid summer days. I find this hand cream help a lot with the dryness with the hands and kept it really smooth.
This is my favourite hand cream. I love that it works so quickly and that a little goes a long way. It works very well for dry hands and doesn't leave a greasy feeling.
Fairly pricey, but works wonders! I like that it's not at all greasy, but moisturizes very well! It had a very light scent (my boyfriend will use it too!)
By far the best hand cream, a little goes a long way. Excellent to put on at night right before bed. Had a pleasant smell, not to strong. Especially useful during our long Canadian winters.
