La Mer Creme de la Mer Reviews

Description

THE MIRACLE - Even now, it is not entirely clear how Creme de la Mer works. For us schooled in logic, it is something of a jolt to the imagination. But facts are facts and certainly the proof can be seen on the faces of those who use it. In a short time, skin becomes softer, firmer, looks virtually creaseless. Aging lines and pores are noticeably less visible. Even the driest of complexions are healed. Sensitivities are soothed. And, of course, there are some who insist it has produced astonishing results - as Dr. Max Huber witnessed. No wonder many who have tried every cream available remain steadfast in their devotion to Creme de la Mer. THE SECRET - Creme de la Mers Miracle Broth is suspended within its extraordinary formula. To activate the broth and release its key ingredients, warm a small amount between your fingertips. As you pat onto clean, dry skin, you will instantly feel the soothing effects of the broth. Smooth over your face, neck, even under the fragile eye area. Creme de la Mer - 1 oz

I have used Creme De La Mer for 6 days only at night and it is amazing. I feel the lines starting around my eyes are flattening, my face is softer and brighter. I will try the oil free version next ( during summer months).

One of the most expensive products I have ever purchased, but a little bit goes a long way. I use this primarily for the winters when my face gets drier. The moisturizer has a thicker consistency which is nice for the winters. I prefer not to apply it in the summers as I like something lighter. I would recommend this product for anyone who has dry or sensitive skin. My friend's who are allergic to most skincare products are able to use this without breaking out into a rash.

I'm mixed about this. I have light/mild acne and combi skin. I used this cream for around 4 months. During the first 3 weeks, my acne significantly cleared up. It was fantastic! Then my acne returned to normal and my skin didn't respond to the product like it did in the beginning weeks. My skin also felt very dry, and not moisturized any more.

This product is very expensive, but very effective. It leaves your skin feeling dewy and hydrated. It only took me about a week to see results. My skin did not break out, which usually happens when I try a new product. This product is a great winter face cream if you live in a colder climate!

I truly believe preventative skin care is more important than corrective. Which is why I always wear sunscreen, stay well hydrated, ensure I eat more than 5 servings of fruits and vegetables, and stay away from sugars, processed foods, and fried goods as often as I can. I believe what you put into your body reflects on the outside. There is so much you can do for the inside though. Other times you have to work on the outside. When I use to work at Neiman Marcus, there would always be these Asian women ordering La Mer from me and for the majority of the time it was just the Creme de La Mer. So of course seeing women ordering a $300 CND or $230 USD jar of cream really piqued my interest. What is so special about it that women are willing to fork out that much for a cream?

Over 40 years ago it was created by Dr. Max Huber, an aerospace physicist who suffered chemical burns to his face. Nothing seemed to help so he had developed a nutrient-rich, highly potent Miracle Broth™ which is a blend of sea kelp, vitamins and minerals. It claims to make your skin softer, firmer, looks virtually creaseless.

It is a cream you warm between your fingertips and pat onto your skin. I usually use three fingers on each hand to do this. I will generally use a pressing rolling of my fingers to pat it in. I have been using it since the age of 20. I will also top it with the La Mer eye cream and pat that on with my ring finger. I use to have forehead lines :( and you really should not scrunch your face in any way because it can cause wrinkling, but since using Creme de La Mer it has decreased the forehead lines and I do not have crows feet around my eyes yet "knock on wood." I do believe it is an excellent cream and really hydrating. When I use it I do not get flaky skin patches, but if I don't use it for a night I do notice my skin will get flaky patches :(. Something that is so horrible and I know, but I pick and pop my zits and people say that will lead to scarring, but my acne scars will always fade away and heal when I use this cream, so because of that I will continue to pick away lol. They say you can use it day and night, but I find it too heavy for day time wear and will make my foundation look cakey. A jar will last you about a year so it is well worth the investment considering the cheap things we spend our money on every week could easily add up to the value of this cream. However will I be continuing to purchase this? It is questionable since I am running low and have a few weeks left of this and Kiehl's had sent me the Abyssine Cream which has Abyssine a survival molecule and mineral-rich red alga. When I had tried the Abyssine Cream for a week I had noticed similar results as Creme de La Mer and for a fraction of the price. I am going to test it out for two weeks and if it isn't upto standards I will buy another Creme de La Mer when I am in San Diego or Vegas in the coming weeks or get it from the shop.

Apparently this cream is supposed to be the best from all the luxury creams out there. Many women have said that it DOES work miracles on their face; however in my case, I found it pretty disappointing.

To my surprise, I received a small sample pot of this cream at Holt's counter. I have dry skin and after using this product twice, morning and night for 2 weeks, my face still felt dry during mid-day.

At first I used a small amount-just so that it would last me longer, rubbing cream between your palms to emulsify the product and patted/rubbed into face--as demonstrated to me by the saleswoman. My face still felt dry and tight afterwards. After a disappointing first week, I scooped out a good chunk during the 2nd wk. just so I can experience the full effect--had I actually purchased the mega expensive, full-sized cream.

End result was that the cream did not meet my expectations. I was hoping this cream would be the miracle cream, but sadly, it isn't. For me that is.--Actually, it's a good thing that it isn't, considering that I wasn't even prepared to blow so much cash on this cream to begin with.

This product is okay for me. I don't really know why i end up getting this product anyways since it is pricey. But i think i just gave in to the hype. I don't use this product on a regular basis since i don't need all the moisture and tlc all the time. I use it mainly when my skin of overly dry, sunburned, or just lacking some oomph. You take a pea size, rub it between your fingers and warm it up. Instead of massaging it in your skin, you can gently pat your face all over until the product is distributed evenly. I find that if i don't heat it up and just slather it on, it doesn't absorb as well. I think since this product is really rich, i have small break outs here and there when i use it (another reason why i don't use it all the time). I've been starting to use this more regularly as an eye cream since it's safe for the eye and find it very effective without breaking me out. This is ofcourse more expensive than my regular moisturizer, but my regular one doesn't last as long since you need more. So although it's expensive, it's worth if for me if i use it only when i need. Overall, if you have extra cash and your skin needs some loving, give this a try : )

I recently went to Vegas and felt my skin was desperately in need of some SOS. i Budged and bought another jar of this. I didn't really touch it much for 2 months. Then I went back to hong kong and my skin, especially my cheeks area got really sensitive. I'd get this little red dots that go away. I started using La mer around my eye area and cheeks and used my regular moisturizer in the other parts of my face. It helped a lot with the red dots around my cheeks and is a really great eye cream. The key is to use really little and warm it up, using too much might cause some clogged pores. Another thing is that since this cream is so moisturizing and emollient, my eyeliner does run a little bit if I don't powder it well enough. I've been using this cream for around my cheeks and eye area since and might want to use it all over again when the cold weather gets really brutal.

I am addicted to la mer.. I swear by it.. especially in the winter. Its safe enough to use under your eyes. Great tip.. I got a really bad sunburn on my forehead one summer. A couple of applications of la mer overnight - and I never peeled - it healed right away!
Overpriced, but worth the investment as you can make a jar last over a year.
