Perfect for skin of colour

Sunscreen is something that causes me alot of anxiety. When I find a product I love, the next time I come to buy it I find its discontinued. For years I used various versions of Soltan dry touch / mattifying SPF50, UVA 5* ultra. I would fly to the UK just to stock up. I wouldn’t compromise on the SPF nor the UVA protection. It wasn’t great under makeup, but I value sunscreen more than makeup. Then they changed the formula.
I tried numerous products but all left me looking shiny and ill with a white cast oil slick. Then I came across LRP Shaka fluid, SPF 50 with PPD60+. Bonus fact - I could buy it here in South Africa. Its now my most preferred sunscreen.

Why I like it? Zero white cast. Full protection - I neither burn nor tan with the product. Time will tell if the UVA rating is accurate. Its lightweight and quickly absorbs into my skin, making getting ready in the morning quick and easy.

Why I dislike it? It is very runny, so becareful when pouring it out into your palm. Its excellent under makeup in the winter here when the air is dry; but in the summer when its humid it makes me shine after an hour. So I don’t wear makeup on top of this in the summer. If i really want to wear make up, then I use the Nivea mattifying facial sunscreen spf 50 for oily skin; but because I don’t know Its UVA rating, I’m cautious about using the Nivea as my only sunscreen. So LRP Shaka is my go to everyday.

I've tried other sunscreens even from La Roche-Posay's but this one is definitely the best. Shaka fluid is really fluid like, easy to put on, quick to dry and even moisturizing. Great under the makeup. 10/10
