I had the opportunity to try this product for free, and I'm glad I was chosen. La Roche-Posay Ultra Micellar Water for Dry/reactive skin. Quite the mouthful of a product name! I was not very familiar with the brand before now.
Well, I will share my experience with you. I have dry skin, especially in the winter and it feels tight and uncomfortable after a shower. I also have rosacea, and if you have it, you know how touchy your skin can be.
I began by using this in the morning and in the evening as well as after every shower. It feels really good, it's moisturizing and soothing. I found that it was especially good at that after shower tightness of the skin feeling. The softness and moisture in my skin feels boosted and my rosacea feels less reactive and irritable in general.
Really great stuff and I will continue to use it, because it works!

I have used the micellar water and I have used it every day and night. I love the way it feels on my skin, it's like tiny bubbles going to work. The lovely feeling after my skin dries is soft and smooth. No redness or dryness even after a half hour. Which usually happens with other similar products. I let my daughter use it and she was also impressed. With dry skin from the harsh winter and winds, my daughter said that her skin felt so clean and fresh. I am very happy with this product.
#gotitfree I received this product free in return for reviewing it. I really liked La Roche-Posay Micellar Water ULtra Reactive, because it's a very gentle, effective makeup remover . My skin is very sensitive, and I use makeup everyday. I usually use oil bases makeup removers for this though job, but I now prefer this Micellar Water because it does the job without oily residue while removing all traces of makeup, and dirt without adversely affecting my sensitive skin. Added bonus, this La Roche-Posay Micellar Water ULtra Reactive smells really great. I would recommend this product to all who need a "tough" but gentle cleanser.
I am reviewing La Roche-Posay Micellar Water Ultra for reactive skin as part of the Chick Advisor Review Club.
I am used to using traditional cleansers and moisturizers, so this was something different. The product was very light (had to be careful pouring it out over cotton balls). It was light on the skin, leaving no residue and causing no negative reaction. I first used it to remove the day's makeup, but it did not remove much mascara. Of course, this is not to be used for such cleaning. It did work on everything else, although it took a few cotton balls.
I prefer to continue to use a regular cleanser to remove makeup, but then follow up with the micellar water.
I found that I really liked using this product in the morning; my skin really felt clean after using it. I cannot say my skin looks radically different, but it is great to find a cleaning product that works without skin irritation or drying.
I am reviewing this as part of the Chick Advisor Review Club. I used this as a first step in my cleansing routine, and found that it was calming on my sensitive skin. It did not remove all of my mascara (which wasn't waterproof), but did a good job at removing my foundation. It left my skin plump and not stripped, it didn't aggravate my delicate under eye area. As promised it did not make my skin tight or my face red.
I have sensitive skin to the point of almost being considered intolerant. My usual brand is avene. I've never been able to find a good makeup remover, so I tend to use coconut oil as everything else just destroys my eyes. When I use this app over my face it tingles which worried me, but after a few times there was no reaction. And it works amazingly at taking off my hard to get off mascara. My eyes feel perfect after and it gets all the makeup off. I'm actually surprised. I was scared to try this as I've stopped branching out and just stick with avene as everything causes skin breakdown for me. This was awesome. My only complaint is they need to design the cap better... it comes out too quick and I end up getting drops all over the place.
***this was given to me free of charge for the purpose of a review. Despite this, the review is all my own and 100% accurate to what I believe. ***
I purposely put on waterproof mascara and a very sturdy lip lacquer to test La Roche-Posay Ultra Micellar Water, and it stepped up to the task.
So far, I've used two different brands of micellar water before Ultra and become a fan of the product and how easily and swiftly it removes makeup. So I wore makeup that was slightly difficult to remove without some elbow grease to really put Ultra through its paces.
It took a little longer to remove my eye makeup, but did a good job overall; my tinted moisturizer came off in a breeze, and it made speedy work of my lip lacquer. My one main complaint is that it left an absolutely TERRIBLE taste on my lips which makes me hesitant to use Ultra on my lip colour again.
Since I received this product free from ChickAdvisor to review, I will happily use it, but might think twice about purchasing it especially for $20.
I got this free from ChickAdvisor and I wish I had better things to say about it. I will say it worked better for me as a cleansing agent than a makeup remover. I don't even wear a whole lot of makeup and it failed to remove it all with one large cotton pad, I had to use 2. This isn't necessarily a big deal, but I have used other products that remove my makeup quicker and more effectively without having to go back for a second round of cleaning.
I do have dry and reactive skin and the first time I used it, I could feel a slight sting which I didn't think would happen and my face did get slightly red. It did only happen the first couple times, however it's supposed to be anti-redness/reactive.
I would unfortunately not purchase this product or recommend something with a bit higher of a price tag then other Micellar waters to anyone else. This was not the right product for me.
The first time I used it I didn't like it. But I used a face cloth. It was way too much. One small cotton ball or cotton cleansing cloth is all you need. Left my skin feeling clean and moisturized. I definitely recommend this to anybody that has trouble with soap. Thanks Chicadvisor. I definitely recommend this to anybody that has sensitive skin. If you look at the bottle you'll see that there's very little gone I have used this everyday for a week. This bottle is going to last me a long time. Great Value great product!
Just want to disclose that I got this for free from Chickadvisor for reviewing purposes.
Overall this is a good cleansing water, its about $18.95 at Shoppers Drugmart for 400ml. My go to is Bioderma (about $25.95 for 500ml) but I think it is almost the same, just different scents. It removed my non- waterproof makeup nicely, no residue at all. I don't expect it to. I used this really close to my eyes and it did not cause any irritations which is amazing. Overall I would repurchase this, I think it would be amazing if there was a pump.
