No better than Maybelline!

I bought the Lancôme Hypnos Mascara because I have used Lancôme skin care for years. Honestly...it was not great...in fact I quickly had to buy another mascara and chose drugstore Maybelline and...it was much better. I don’t have a lot of eyelashes left and the Lancôme barely made any difference..

Good Mascara After a Bit of Time

I received this mascara in a deluxe sample from Sephora. At first I hated this mascara. It seemed too wet and would clump my lashes together. I threw it in my makeup bag and forgot about it for a few months. After I found it again and used it, it worked great! I think this is just one of those mascaras that you have to let dry out a bit because the new formula is super wet. Once it was dried out it applied clump free, added decent volume, but did not lengthen. Would I purchase? Probably not, simply because it isn't what I'm looking for in a mascara. Regardless, it looks nice and would be great if you're gifted with long lashes.

I really wanted to like this mascara. It wears pretty nicely at the start of the day and I like how black it is. Unfortunately, for me, it flakes so badly later in the day. This is the first mascara I've found that has flaked like this on me and it looks horrible. If it doesn't flake on you than I'm sure it will be very nice but I couldn't even get through a sample sized tube.

I expected more from this expensive mascara, it had a funny smell & I didn't notice anything special when I used it. I was disappointed & don't recommend it.

I normally love Lancome products, but this mascara smudge all over and flake. I will not recommend this to people that have problem with mascaras being flaky!
